    Useless Support, Unwilling to Fix Error i2501

    I'm a full time college student and part time worker. When I need to get something done I get it done. However, the same can not be said about Square Enix's support staff. If you are unable to resolve the problem then it is your duty to move it up the food chain. Wort customer support I have ever received.

    I only want to purchase Level Boost Black Mage and Complete Collector's Edition Upgrade

    I do apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. The issue you are having can only be handled directly by the support center. An error i2501 is typically cause by the use of a VPN or shared network. I would suggest contacting support again if the error persists after 24 hours.

    What if the problem is not fixed after 24 hours? At what point will S.E. support services step up and function as a supportive service meant to fix issues? If S.E. is unable to fix this error, provide the phone number of who I must contact to do your job for you. Otherwise, I demand a refund of my FFXIV Complete Addition purchase.

    If they say it's a VPN error that is normally on the consumers side so for them to help with in 24hrs is a reasonable time. -.- It's not their fault players use VPN's. Most companies won't even trouble shoot and just direct you to your VPN settings. You should be more understanding. Also did you check info on it

    Just in case you don't know First, What is i2501?

    i2501 is an error code that returned by a third-party fraud protection company IOVATION, INC. SENA & SEEU(No SEJP lol) use this company's system to help determine fraud transactions. If you got this error code, it means that this transaction is considered as fraud by IOVATION (NOT SE). THAT'S WHY SE Customer Service tells you they can do NOTHING.

    Had that issue before.

    You can call your bank and usually will clear it or revert the transaction.

    I'd also like to add that the error is designed to protect accounts and sometimes (much like your situation) legitimate players sometimes get flagged in error based on action that they sometimes don't know they are doing. It is unfortunate when this happens, but the flag cannot be lifted at will as that would defeat the purpose of the i2501 in the first place. Simply limit your attempts to once every 24 hours as this is the cooldown period that initiates every time the error is triggered (again, for security purposes).

    Unfortunately, I cannot elaborate on your particular case as this is not a technical issue. As such, this thread will be moved to 'Separate Support Required.'
