Golden Saucer no longer tells you which event is happening and where?

So, I'm absolutely positive it used to say something like "The event "Anyway the wind blows" is now underway in Event Square!" or something to that effect, telling you exactly which GATE was going on and also where to find it.

What happened!? Yesterday and today I've noticed that every time a GATE spawns it just says "A special limited-time event has commenced in the halls of the golden saucer!" This is really annoying because I like to hang out and do chocobo racing and I don't know which aetheryte shard to teleport to so I can participate. I just have to teleport to the closest gate keeper (why isn't there one near Chocobo Square anyway? Or am I blind? Because it SAYS there's one but it's just the lift attendant??)

And there are some GATES I would rather not waste time on so whenever they spawn I just don't bother. Now I HAVE to move to even know which it is and by that point I'm already basically there so whatever................

Has anyone else noticed this??

Hasn't it always been the case that the Chocobo/Minion Square area doesn't get the exact GATE announcement? (since it's not part of the same Gold Saucer zone as the GATEs)

If you talk to any GATE keeper, they will transport you to the location of the GATE.

Oh, it seems you're right. I only just got into chocobo racing so I never had the problem before. Interesting... I wish they would fix this.

@StouterTaru: I know you can do that, but there aren't any gate keepers in the chocobo square (unless I'm blind) so I need to use the lift or teleport somewhere else first. Just kind of annoying. :/

basic rule of thumb
:15 - skinchange, vase off, cliffhanger
:45 - fungah or time of your life

Yeah Chocobo Square has never told you which and where. Just use the aetherytes to go to Event Square at :45 and whatever place you feel best for :15 - I usually go to Round Square because 2 of the events pop there.

Basically this. If its 45 past the gate will always be one of the two in event square(and youve got about 2 mins to sign up). If its 15 past then its either wonder square or round square(you could go to the aetheryte plaza and split the difference), but those gates give you 10 or 15 mins(depending on which one it is) so taking an extra few seconds to run over after you teleport shouldnt affect your success rate.

Yeah, I'm not so concerned about the 45 event since it's always in the same place but the 15 could be in two places. Would just be a nice little quality of life improvement to know which and where.

I really hate time of your life and skinchange we can believe in, so if I know either of those are spawning I probably wouldn't go for it.

i really hate those too.

and i always go to Round Square, since there's a Gatekeeper right there if it's not the right place.
