For sure, but that doesn't make my statement incorrect; especially considering the person I responded to and the context of the post. It's safe to assume that battle content isn't the focus (although if it were up to me it would be). The point was to not let misinformation be spread about how people seem to think Yoshi has a team of 4-5 people sitting in a garage making FF14, when it has at times had one of the largest dev teams in the industry.

Thank you devs for giving us such a wonderful game! I finally kicked my 10+ year long warcraft addiction thanks to this game. Now I feel like I can play casually and just hang with my friends and not fall behind like in WoW... it's truly wonderful.

I am coming up on one year in FFXIV and I have loved every day of it. Thank you Dev Team for all of the hard work you have put into this game for others to enjoy. Sorry to dampen the positivity romance, but after playing this game for over 2 years now, I gotta say that the dev team needs to be either replaced or Yoshi-P needs to be replaced. I love the game and all, but the content is a rehash every expansion and every patch is predictable. The current formula is stagnant. Something needs to be done about this.

Some good content like POTD was a good start. Eureka was just bad imo. It didn't even capture anything I loved about FFXI. It felt like Abyssea 2.0, only with more leechers, afkers and fps hell.

The game is 5 years old now. This isn't 2.0 anymore. It's time to change up the formula, think out the safety box, and add more new, original and exciting content. FFXI could do this with each expansion and the game is 15 or so YEARS OLD. This game with it's enhanced graphics and style should become even better than it's predecessor, but atm it's still far behind FFXI, not in graphics, but in original and creative content.

There is still room for growth for this game, but if Yoshi and his team keep the current formula going, this game isn't gonna have the best longevity it's older brother (FFXI) has.

The game is 5 years old now. This isn't 2.0 anymore. It's time to change up the formula, think out the safety box, and add more new, original and exciting content. FFXI could do this with each expansion and the game is 15 or so YEARS OLD. This game with it's enhanced graphics and style should become even better than it's predecessor, but atm it's still far behind FFXI, not in graphics, but in original and creative content.

What you people seem to want, is the combat system from XI, more than anything else. Obviously that will never happen. Beyond that you say "original stuff" but people never seem to explain what that stuff should be.

Here come the trolls. People just like to jump into a post, change the topic and turn things negative don't they? This was an appreciation thread, if you don't have appreciation then just stay out. You guys gotta be negative about everything don't you? I myself had somewhat of a similar thread i started and soon as i posted it the trolls came running in ready to turn it negative with a bunch of crap trying to twist it into something else when in reality it was simply made to show my appreciateion. Come to find that you guys are even doing the same over here too. It's sad. I can understand constructive criticism but i mean cmon guys really? If you have nothing nice to say don't go straight to an appreciation thread to wreck it with your offtopic negativity, instead go back to your dark side of the forums and make your own rant. Saying all this in itself might be a bit twisting, but i felt someone needed to say it. So now that it's said and done i will move on and give my appreciation too!
