I've given up on Savage Content.

Honestly the Phantom Train and Neo Exdeath fight has broken my spirit and my pride. No matter how hard I've tried to get the patterns down that I'm going to get killed, and ends up making my group suffer for it. Other times it's another player, and that just adds to the frustration. I'm afraid I just don't have the coordination and fast hotbar speed to set off fast skill chains to make the cut. I really hate the fact I'm going to have to end up having to miss some really cool content like God Kefka, but I know my own limits. Maybe one day when we're all lvl 80 that I might try to comeback to it.

I've played a lot of games, but I never came across a game that that felt the need to destroy me a hundred times with stupidly designed Multi-Mechanics that can kill you in one hit. Let me tell you, it just takes one mistake in Savage Content to make the whole thing fall apart.

Well, I mean some of the tells are extremely obvious in savage but yes... one mistake can ruin the group which is why you need to be sure you know what you are doing if you want to clear. Try learning parties.

It takes a lot of practice, try to find a role that works for you , max it out, and try practice parties. Good luck ^^

Practice and practice some more. Really helps to be in a team and on discord with someone doing callouts.
Your going as drg? Myself i was Nin for 05S so what i told the team (as i was the only mellee) for diabolical wind i think it is called right after the stack in the middle i would tell the team what corner i would go in, ranged would go to the back. Our tank is the one that does the callouts and it really helps alot.
Also Arm’s length is a must and Feint is good to have, i know that was not the topic but figured i would add this in here

It's always frustrating when wipes happen to stupid stuff. More so when you're the one at fault. It's easy to end up putting yourself down over it. Even now, 8 weeks after my first O5S kill, I still regularly die to the knockback ghost because I forgot it was coming. Nobody's perfect. I know it. You know it. And most importantly, good players accept it. Savage level content takes, above all else, dedication and perseverance. If you don't think you're cut out for it that's fine, but I think the fact that you stepped up to the plate in the first place means something. Clearly at at least one point you believed you could get through, and you have goal in mind of at least seeing, if not killing God Kefka. So what's stopping you?

Touching on this specifically. Boss fights in this game are very rigid in their patterns. 99% of the time same the same mechanic always happens at the same time with the only variance being who has to deal with it or how you have to deal, and rarely both. My advice would be, if you're wanting to help memorize the pattern of mechanics, to get a group into a voice chat. Even if not right away someone will pick up on the pattern (or have a guide open on another screen) and start doing callouts. Hearing that mechanics are coming even before they start casting let alone happen is invaluable, or at least it has been in my experience.
And some mistakes are easily recoverable, others are not. There's very rarely a middle ground there on account of how powerful burst healing can be in this game.

Anyway, if you have any specific questions, you should ask them.

The raid group I'm in, it took about a week of proper training in a call and everything to learn the O5S fight (Since we raid about 2-ish hours a day, 2-3 days a week), in O6S took like a week later, and in O7S, we keep having around 1-2% wipes because of the crazy amount of microlag that seems to happen in the fight.

In comparison 5/6 are rather easy to get with enough communication, but 7 is a whore of a mother.

As others have said, Savage fights take tons of practice and a fairly good understanding of your job. Have you unlocked the Stormblood Stone Sky Sea dummies yet? They're a good way to practice your rotations and seeing if your DPS is (theoretically) enough to get through a fight before enrage. It's also important to keep up with improving your gear, and melding materia to secondary stats that are important for your job can go a long way if you can do it. Stock up on the best foods you can for your respective stats, and if you can afford it try to get some stat potions too. The fights can get frustrating sometimes while learning, but once you've gotten through each section enough things start becoming muscle memory. And don't be afraid to ask other people who are familiar with the fights and/or your job for advice if you need it! That said, there's no shame if you feel savage content is not for you. But I certainly encourage you to keep trying if you'd like to. You may be surprised to find you're more capable than you think! Best of luck on your endeavors!

I learned the fight with my fc, it took 5 more week for most of the fc raiders to clear it.

If you can't learn the dance you need to over gear it for mistakes.

    The Dummies help.
It was getting hard on the fc members unable to clear week after week, but screams after they cleared on discord showed it was wroth it.
