Well, you could always deliberately not install the expansions at first and just have the base ARR installed, in which case it would revert to the default ARR title screen. I admit it find it odd that SE chose to have a unique title screen for every expansion instead of going FFXI's path and having just a base title and adding the titles to the expansions in a list on the side of the screen, which I suspect is probably what they will have to do eventually when they get to FFXI's level of ten or twenty expansion packs.

Also, if you want to watch the earlier opening movies (the ones which will play if you idle on the title screen for too long), you can simply view them again at your leisure by selecting 'Movies' on the title screen (ARR's 'End of an Era' trailer is called 'Answers' in this menu, and Heavensward's opening should be self explanatory, you can also play the extended opening that played when you first created your character here as well.)

As far as music goes, ironically regardless of the expansion or title screen, it's always been a variation on the same track (Nobuo Uematsu's seminal FF theme Prelude) since even version 1.0's title screen, so its kind of a moot point changing it between versions (I do admit I like SB's version The Long March Home, as it suits SB's themes perfectly). But that's just my personal preference.

Stormblood's version of the music has so much intro before it goes into the 'Prelude' tune that you don't actually hear that part if you're just clicking through to the next screen.

I wouldn't say it's moot. Yes, it might be the same melody, but the variation certainly gives it a different feel. Part of the reason I want the HW log-in screen is because I enjoyed HW much more than SB in general. I love the areas, and I'm a fanatic when it comes to winter. The fact that it's snowing in the HW log-in screen is absolutely amazing to me, and adds to the dramatic feel of the music. But I'm also a dork, so there's that too, lol. Everyone has their preferences, hence having the option to switch to whatever log-in you wanted would be awesome! :P

What? I literally have no idea what you mean by this.. You can't uninstall expansion packs from MMOs, nor would anyone do so just to revert a title screen. People who don't have SB/HW installed aren't reverting back to anything.... it's simply what they still have.

I mean when you install the game (such as on a new PC or if you have to wipe your hard drive and reinstall the game from scratch), just install the base game and not the expansions (of course, this is only possible if you were like me and have been playing the game since version 1.0 and have the game and expansions as separate copies that have to be installed individually - you also have to turn off the function in the launcher's Config that automatically downloads any expansion packs you've purchased and registered as part of the patching process). Also I have no idea how the PS4 handles expansion data and updates (I only have the PC version) so I don't know if that would work with the PS4 version.

As long as the expansion data is not installed (or just the expansion data for Heavensward and not Stormblodd) it will revert the title screen to the default ARR one (or alternatively HW's one if there is just HW data). You can also tell if this will be the case when logging in as after logging in on the launcher, the FFXIV logo will change to either ARR's logo or HW's logo instead of SB's.

So I do admit it is tricky and only possible if you have the base game and expansion packs as separate copies, but it is possible to do. Of course one may think this is probably more trouble than it's worth just to see the ARR/HW title screen and the earlier versions of Prelude, so maybe being able to revert the title screen to an earlier version in Config is not such a bad idea after all.

I though FFXI only had like 5 expansion? Did we play same game? .-.

I was mostly just being overly exaggerating, but I also did include the 3 Abyssea 'add-on packs' and A Crystalline Prophecy, A Moggle Kupo-de-tat', and A Shantotto Ascension along with Rhapsodies of Vana'diel as expansions, which they technically are. Cut-down ones, but expansions all the same. So if you include all those along with Rise of the Zilart, Chains of Promathia, Treasures of Aht Urhgan, Wings of the Goddess and Seekers of Adoulin, then my statement is correct.
