The perfect day for a crazy idea.
We've all wanted new a new gathering class. But how do you make one that fits in with everything already established?
Simple! Let us gather what already exists! But I'm not talking about digging up ore or cutting down some plants. Why do all that work when you can just profit off of someone else's effort!
No, I'm not saying we start pilfering from other players' pockets. (although, that would be fun to turn the tables on botters). I'd rather steal my fish directly off of the boats unloading on the docks. Let's rob us a caravan laden with ingots heading off to who cares where! (actually, that was my idea for timed nodes; wagon breaks down, steal while you can!)
Let's make it even more interesting, and add in some of Gold Saucer's Vase Off mechanics. You gotta actually sneak in to reach the node without being spotted. You won't be snatching any pies out of window sills if they just see you sauntering up.
This probably needs to be locked behind having MIN/BTN/FSH leveled up pretty high already. But I like this idea for getting around having to gather and craft mountains of junk materials that happen to be part of higher crafts.![]()
