Devs finally managed to piss me off.

I should start off by stating that I'm disappointed in myself for even making a thread in the G.D. forums. It is a bit hypocritical of me considering how much I publicly despise all the belly-aching that goes on in here. But I would like to vent a little in the small chance that this reaches someone with some say in the game. So, here goes...

I am thoroughly disgusted by the main content in patch 1.20b. Why on earth would, you the people developing this game, consider making such a ridiculously superfluous thing as the Goobue mount? We have Chocobos already. In the future we will even have a variety of types of Chocobos. Why was there time, effort, and resources spent to the development of the new mounts when they add no actual value to the game? I'll grant that they are aesthetically different and novel, but they look absurd! The novelty will be gone in no time at all, and people will have a useless, mentally-deficient, obese tub of vegetable fat that they can ride on.

I believe I understand the intention of the Devs for not wanting to add any content that affects the game's storyline and the future developmental plans in accordance with 2.0. But, I don't believe that the time spent on the Goobue mounts was worth your time and money. I am not a programmer. I have no demonstrable knowledge of everything entailed in making these mounts. But could your resources not have been put to making a couple of decent new monsters to kill? Nothing even too spectacular like Ifrit or Moogle, just something a little bit more difficult than the original world bosses.

It's too late to request any changes about what has happened, but I hope some notion of what I've said lands on the ears of the game's developers. If it has, thank you for listening.

You don't deserve to feel disappointed by a filler update. Do you understand? Do you know why these updates have letters next to them? The fact that we actually got a free mount with the mini update, is actually pretty impressive. And this isn't the only mount we're getting by the looks of it. From the looks of it, they've made a system that lets them quickly make a new mount for us to mess with.

It was a freaking lettered patch. Christ on a crouton! How often have we gotten content on a LETTERED patch? As for the mounts, I sincerely doubt they have been dedicating huge amounts of resources to this. Not like they didn't already have models and systems in place. You'd think this was a project that had to be created from scratch.

Indeed, they've stated so many times that I've lost track, that lettered patches are only little tweaks here and there. Nothing major! I'm already sick of people complaining about this small patch.

Just wait until 1.21 because that'll be the next big update.

I opened this in another tab, and before I switched over there was a Progressive ad. Thought you were saying that the OP sounded like Flo rambling over-enthusiastically. Kind of great, in its own way.
