Why give the ability to lockout classes for Raids?

I don't exactly know where you have that information from. I'm very curious how you would know that BLM puts out more dps than other classes. Could you please tell me?

But yeah, PUG players are a very terrible way of judging the power of a job. Black Mage is indeed the most powerful DPS in raw DPS, with its numbers skyrocketing with assistance, despite, or rather, because of its lack of utility otherwise. I mean, what do you expect from a class with practical potencies of 554, the same as Red Mage's finishing spells Verflare/Verholy, for their bread and butter spell?

That said, it's wrong for a player to assume they're as good as the 75 percentile because Black Mage does have a bit of a learning curve. Not in the rotation itself, but more to do with the content they're attempting.
