Melding Materia Question

I wonder if there is a way to improve chances to succesful meld several materia into one item?

If the item you are melding is HQ then you get a 5% increase in the sucess rate. Also go with the lowest grade first or if they are the same grade, lowest stats first, as you can squeeze in 0.5 to 2% ish increase depnding on stats

Full Moon for Astral Elements, New Moon for Umbral Elements.

Face the direction of the shard element used to perform the synthesis of the item unto which you are melding.

There is an elemental affinity applied to every ingame Minute, Hour, Day, Week, and Month (not to mention year and era), try to lemd within the appropriate elemental time frame.

Always meld in the guild corresponding to the class that made the item.

Don't forget to eaquip your elemental staff and do a /dance before every atempt.

If you are going for the Gamblers Crown then you should be seeing these numbers
Percentages: On R41+ gear using Grade I Materia
2-Slot will be 40-42%
3 Slot will be 35-38%
4 Slot will be 25-30%
5 Slot will be 18-23%

This is proven on any gear over 41 and not HQ.
Gear/weather/moon/direction/type all have 0% effect on the meld
What does effect it"
strength of the materia (is it +1 str or +5)
gap in tier(tier 1 materia on a tier 4 item)
HQ item or not.

Ahh, now i understand. I was using low level gear and i just got around 20% succed rate for my second slot.

I believe around 10 or so.
