I would solely because I am very close to my FC, but I would never do it for someone I am unfamiliar with. I'd probably use it as a guage to see how they react. Resent me and I'd prolly leave the FC. Otherwise I might agree to give up the house later down the line if I liked them enough.

In all honesty, I would leave the FC. No one has the right to judge whether someone needs a/the house or not.

That FC leader makes me laugh. He starts off being being the straight to the point kind of person and would let go as soon as he got his answer but then he goes on with half-assed reasons about why he needs a larger house and specifically targets the OP's.

I mean, if I want a large house in the game, I don't need to cite the 101 reasons as to why I need it. Now if you ask me why, I'll tell you.

The whole exchange is comical.

Please do yourself a favor and get out of the fc. The leader's pretending not to give a hoot but that last line about "think about it" means he's going to revisit the subject, even if you say no.

I would not give it up. First its not like they dont own a house at all and honestly I was once leader in a FC that had quite a bit more members but we still had our small house and it was enough for events and stuff like that. They already own a medium so why should they need a large house? You saw it, bought it and thus you have as much as a right to own it as an FC.

And please remember that there is a timer on plots like that so it could happen that the FC wont get the big one and/or you wont get the middle one.

But good to know that you left them.

I might or might not give up a personal Large for my FC, but it would depend on the FC.

The conversation also struck me as inappropriate. There was a respectful way to bring this up, something along the lines of: "Hey, buddy, I know you were thinking about moving servers and X, Y, Z. Any chance you'd be interested in swapping your Large for the FC's Medium and a bit of Gil, so that we could put it to use?"

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear as if the conversation went that direction. Making comments about not being able to see it from your point of view, about you being just one person, yada yada, that's crossing the line, in my opinion. I'd be very disinclined to do anything for this individual following the conversation you posted.
