    Could DRK promote Magic Caster parties for Raids?

    Dark Passenger Change!

    Mp cost reduced to 0.
    (Reducing the mp cost for the Raw version, "which is basically useless" would make using Dark passenger a DPS increase)

    Deals unaspected damage with a potency of 100 to all enemies in a straight line before you.
    Can only be used when succumbing to the Darkside.
    (No Change)

    Dark Arts Effect:
    Potency: 240
    Increase Magic damage taken by 10% for all targets hit by Dark Passenger. (Duration: 15s)
    Dark Arts fades upon execution.
    (This would promote bringing Blackmages, Summoners, and Redmages to parties.
    Also would buff paladins Holy spirit burst window. So DRK/PLD can be desirable combination.)

    Cooldown increased from 30s to 60s.
    (Lines up perfectly with Trick Attack, and Carve and Spit. I feel like using this every 30s would be too unbalanced.)

    Also in dungeons, using Dark passenger in big pulls would make Abyssal Drain stronger.

    That's more or less what I want. It would give DRK special synergy with PLD. The question is, can the DRK itself actually use the buff? Most of our damage is still physical. Either way, I do really like the idea of DRK offering a magic damage buff. There's probably a good reason that there are very very few of those in the game right now though. :P

    The only thing I can think is that casters generally do deal more damage than other DPS, so a percentage buff would result in proportionally even more damage than any physical buffs.

    But even a 5% increase would make a difference in this case.

    Especially as dark passenger is AoE and casters are better at AoE. A 10% buff probably would make it a bit OP.

    This is a cool idea and I think it goes well with Dark Knight being more magic-oriented than Paladin / Warrior. Adding job synergy also makes a job much more valuable in raids

    We need less strictly enforced compositions, not more.

    Remove the permanent vulnerabilities from DPS (And compensate as required). This alone actually puts most of the jobs where they should be relative to what they bring to the party.

    Then you give said permanent vulnerability to tanks in a universal, reduced form. Each tank applies one stack of this, for something like a 3/6/9% increase, but typically only having 6% since triple tanking is unlikely.

    Bam, done. Now you just need to get rid of the distinct disparity between Dark Knight and the other two.

    The answer isn't more raid steroids, especially that only cater to one side of the spectrum.

    There's numerous suggestions on this forum. Some of them are decent, while some are just mathematical improvements to close the gap (so workable, but not exactly exciting)

    we actualy suffering raid buffs powercreep we dont need add more, i actually expect the next expansion remove a lot of it and control the rest, this buff will make DRK mandatory on the tank scenario and we dont want that either, specially with WAR being out of the meta, they complaing to much they superior performance is not a issue i dont want give then a reason to complaing even more.
