Some observations over the past few months I have played FF14.

Eureka was fun for a week but now, not so much. I have my weapons for the four classes I wanted, almost both suits of armor I wanted, and all the gizmos and items from the boxes and NM's. Lacking any items needed to motivate me is only part of my problem as I also find I do not like the ZERG. I only get one or two global cooldowns before the spawning mobs are dead so I am waiting 15 minutes to an hour for something I can use my abilities on to fight, the NM's.

Since 4.2 my alt on Omega has been unplayable in content because of dc's and lag. My receiving packets regularly flop between 1500 and 21000. I do not think I would take her into Eureka anyhow because it is still not viable to solo or to party over joining the ZERG.

I used to think I would never be able to dps while I was a healer but now it is second nature. When 4.2 launched I also decided to throw out my comfort zone and dive into the new content blind and as a tank and it was the best decision I ever made in FF14. I now feel very comfortable playing any role and it has really boosted my confidence. I still cannot totally concentrate only on the action because I need to look at my hotbars for procs and cooldowns but I have been using the enemy list to see the dangerous cast. In Eureka, NM's I am fighting will not appear on the enemy list sometimes so I am getting blasted by their abilities when I do not have them targetted, such as when I am on adds for Pazu or playing my healers. I am still learning how to snatch mobs on the go in dungeons with my warrior without stopping but I am getting better!

I got a house! It eats my money. I am finally done feeding it gil and I am playing around with things I can buy with my creation tomes to sell to replenish my supply.

I got put into a group with Miste today. She does some amazing screenshots in the Miqo'te thread and uses all those filters and add ons that make them look so good. I hope she will be kind if rating my performance in the Tales of the Duty Finder Thread haha!

I think I am getting better at my play but still feel I lag behind others in dps. I am out of ideas as to why this is so. I have been concentrating my focus on bard, red mage, white mage, and warrior and I consider bard and red mage to be my mains. I take them both to the SSS dummies and although I feel I have the dummy rotations perfect I am still not beating the timers on sigma 4 despite being 350+ ivl on both. I even tried to record my sessions with obs but it lags my game too much. Poor me

I am still having a good time but lately, I am out of things to really do by Thursday. I look through party finder to try Byakko Ex and Sigma 1s but it just might be time to work on my gathering class or just play less.
