It occurs multiple times per hour. I would say 2-3 time per hour. I only recognise it when I'm doing things like raiding where there's a lot of input on the controller. It usually begins to re-manifest itself a few weeks after installation. This past time, I was extremely sure to update everything on the PC from the beginning after the installation.

All of the controllers are wired and I do not use anything other than the generic drivers that windows installs.

I'm not sure it matters but this past time I did notice it SEEMED to start after installing a program I needed for work that required a .net update. Let me say this tho. The controller(s) work absolutely fine on other games with FFXIV being the oddball out.

Thank you for the update ShumaGosnix.

My first thought is that it's some program in the background interfering with Final Fantasy XIV and how it interacts with your controller.

I'd suggest closing any programs that may be running in the background while playing (including any overlays) and then do a clean boot. To do a clean boot, simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

Does this same thing occur with Directx 9 mode? Also, how do you calibrate the controller, the in-game calibration or some other way?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
