Hello, also been experiencing the same issues after the recent maintenance.

    -Playing on PC
-"Connection has been lost with the server"
    -Wireless
-No other programs running, mainly to try and avoid this situation
-Disconnect occurs randomly, either a couple minutes after logging in and running around, or after a good 20-30 minutes of playtime, but with constant and severe lag spikes (lasting up to a minute at a time)
-Booted back to the Stormblood main screen, and then when going to click on my character, it says my character wasn't correctly logged out and I have to close and reopen the client to log in again
-Occurs randomly, noticeably in dungeons and in battle
-I have restarted my computer, installed new updates, refreshed router, unplugged and plugged back in the router after 30 seconds, ran as administrator, used a GPN (WTFast) with no improvement.

I never had this issues before, and after updating the game with this recent maintenance I have had nothing but issues.

    Thank you for your response!

The issue you are describing is most associated with interference with the game data. Most of the time, it results from certain security/privacy changes on Internet Explorer. Other times it occurs when an application that is running in the background is causing interference, such as Anti-virus software, firewalls, media players, web browsers, etc.

Please make sure all background applications (including anti-virus programs such as Norton, Kaspersky, Windows Defender, etc.) have been disabled and/or closed to minimize game interference.

Ensure that the latest version of Internet Explorer is installed on your PC (even if you don't use Internet Explorer), please do not use Edge as that is a different internet platform. Once Internet Explorer is up-to-date, please open the IE browser, open the "Tools", go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
Under the "Privacy" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or to "Allow All Cookies"
Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED.
    [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    Please RESTART your PC now.

Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

If the suggestions provided above do not resolve the issue, then there is a communication error.
Check the following Port Ranges on your router/modem to ensure that the following Port Ranges have been opened/forwarded/triggered:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

    Hope to be of assistance

    Hey thanks for the feedback!

I tried doing all of these things after you posted them, and I am still experiencing the same issues. When I get the disconnect error message, I also get the error code 90002. This has only become an issue as of Tuesday after the recent maintenance. I also uninstalled and reinstalled my game and client, with no improvement. Not sure what to do at this point.

Do you share your bandwidth with anyone? anyone streaming on it? If not it could be your ISP connection, ( some throttle during certain times )or too many players in. Try lowering resources for in game should help. Had that issue before, now it's rare I do.

I share it with the rest of my family, but they aren't home when I play. I usually only play when I am home by myself to avoid any added stress on the router. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the ISP is doing some wonky stuff during the day when most people are working, so maybe I could try later at night. I'll try and lower the settings to see if that does anything. When I logged back in after doing the changes suggested by Ariellendera, I tested the changes with some light combat, only to disconnect within 5-10 seconds after initiating a battle.

You don't use any vpn or data management program do you? I hear people with them sometimes get those errors. If they play it as normal no issues. Then later on once they fix it on their end works fine. Well Good luck hope you get to play soon.

I used WTFast very briefly, only after experiencing these issues and that didn't do anything for me so I uninstalled it. I'll check in tomorrow night and see if playing at a different part of the day has any effect, and if not, I'll just wait patiently for a maintenance patch. In the meantime, any suggestions for a pure healer or magic damage class in WoW? Lol
