Are the anemos the new 'relics'?

As the title says, because I've heard a lot of controversial answers to this. Between those saying it is and those adamant about not doingeureka stating that it is not a relic weapon.
Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, did some searching to no avail

I would say, not yet. Relics are purple items, and the anemos are still blue. I think they will eventually be relics, it is just not there yet.

Nop Eureka Weapon until is Purple. I refused to call a non purple weapon a relic.

That's where I get confused, been a while since I've done a relic, back in HW but didn't the base weapon on the others start at purple grade?

They will be eventually, we just need a few more patch.

In ARR, it would start as a white weapon AKA unfinished.
In HW, they would be Blue weapon until you finish Dungeon farming I think?

No, the first 2 steps were blue IIRC.
