While I wouldnt be bothered either way if VII was next raid theme, the argument that Sephirot can't be in it because of Primal Sephirot is weak when there's two Halicarnassus' in this game already.

But One Winged Angel Sephiroth and God Kefka are too similar and share many of the same abilities. Having O8S and O11S both being a winged god that uses Heartless Angel and Ultima is too similar.
Yes it has, did you even look? http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-tier-of-Omega
I honestly feel VII has reached a level of over saturation that borders on absurdity but that's neither here nor there. I would prefer them to stick with games that actually had Omega (Omega Weapon is not the same thing) but the inclusion of enemies from VI already throws that out the window. If this were to be the final tier of raids I'd much rather prefer a "boss rush" of sorts comprised of the various forms of Omega from all the games its appeared in.
Please no FFVII, i like FFVII but let it be alone for once.
If the next set will be the final set, what about only final bosses excluding VII, much as I am disappointed about it.
FF8 Ultimecia + Seifer (We are lacking a multiple bad guy boss encounter)
FF9 Kuja
FF10 lol Yu Yevon (I'd really like Jecht)
Omega
There's nothing stopping SE from simply changing what said abilities do, like how Forsaken is different in XIV compared to VI. Or how Charbydis (sp?) by Alte Roite is different to the Charbydis in Crystal Tower.
The people that don't want Sephiroth in here is because they are fed up of VII. Most people like the game, but enough is enough. -.-
I feel like they made Omega to omnipotent to be the final boss of this content. It would be to difficult to defeat him directly but it may be possible to beat him by straining it's resources.
Since it seems so adamant about finding a foe within lore/fantasy to defeat the Warrior of Light, the last arc may involve a chimera of different fights to test out how strong the Warrior of Light is to the point that Omega throws everything at you causing it to leave itself vulnerable to attack.
First and foremost, there is not a chance in hell Sephiroth is the third fight. If they do pull from FFVII, we either won't directly fight Omega, he'll be relegated to a story instance or they do intend to expand Stormblood beyond the 4.55 cycle. Putting any of the main villains as essential chump fights to Omega goes against the whole idea of nostalgia.
They could pull the Weapons, though I imagine Ruby and Emerald will make an appearance later as stronger fights than an O9S roll over.
Although tempted to agree, I cannot help think of how awesome an Ultimate version of Sephiroth and Kefka might be.![]()
