I was thinking that by the time we start the last part of Omega, all the other eggs that were running trials are done.
So we could be fighting the strongest of those left

As much as it would nice to have more FFVII content, I feel that there is already of lot of this in many other games, Dissidia, World of FF, Kingdom Hearts, up coming VII remake etc, so I'd much prefer to take a break from seeing Cloud and Sephiroth again.
It would be great however to have perhaps a FFIX or FFX themed Omega content. Fighting the likes of Zorn and Thorn, Hades and Kuja would be amazing, or Yunalesca, Sin and Seymour being just a cool.
Yes I want sephiroth and the music to go with it.

As much as I'd hate for them to sloppily shove whoever in as if they were an afterthought and then put Omega as the final boss, this is also a likely option to happen. This has been a survival tournament of sorts so you'd be fighting the final contenders that have made it this far and then deal with Omega itself. It could be more than just one of the games in there. It could be something like 7, 8, 9 and then Omega at the end.
Maybe they'll throw a curveball and base it off FFXI...
Dynamis Lord
Absolute Virtue
Pandemonium Warden
Promathia

My theory :
Alpha o9s
Cid o10s
Nero o11s
Faust is omega and after you defeat it, Nero will merge with omega as final boss.

Either they add a Palmer fight or no deal.
Yes, it got already discussed.
And once again: No.
Reason: There was no Omega in FF7.
Omega Weapon is not the same as Omega.
