Limit Break Button

So an idea I had a few years ago keeps coming back up between a friend and I.

I dont know about everyone else but I would love to have a literal Limit Break Button for the game. Something you can hit if you want to limit break that is separate from the Keyboard. I couldn’t imagine it would be hard for SE to implement and it should be plausible for the same button to work on PS4 (maybe even Mac).

$20 for something that would sit on my desk and I could hit if we had an “Oh Crap” moment (if on heals), an “Incoming blast” moment (if on tank), or “I got this” moment (if on DPS).

Design up to SE: Moogles…Scions…Limit Break Written across the top in Eorzean. If you want to get super Fancy, have it so it turns colors as the LB winds up and flashes like crazy when you hit the button.

Cues for the button type I’m talking about can be taken from AverMedia they use for capture cards.

Ehh okay. LB plays a very insignificant role in any given fight tbh though so I don't think it warrants something like that.

I figure it's more for controller players and healers. Though as a DPS and staring at this big red Avermedia button I have, I'd like to be able to smack that for a LB. It'd be more fun haha

This could be very easily done, assuming you can set a keybind specifically for Limit Break (rather than assigned to a hotbar button). It's like how Elite Dangerous has all these firegroups available (consider them hotbars). But certain functions can be mapped either to the firegroup (and you cycle firegroups to reach them), or you can bind a specific button to it. I have this specific hotkey set up for Shield Cell Banks, Heat Sinks, Chaff, and Electronic Countermeasure (on my HOTAS). If I could do something similar in FFXIV for Limit Break, I would get a USB device that is just a big red button and program it to cast LB when hit.

Even if you can't do that, it can be done (big red button for LB), but it's a little more finicky.
