Would definitely love to make and play our own music with Bard in our free time. I mean if you're going to give us instruments, let us use them![]()
Bard as it is is decent, this would make it awesome. Don't settle for decent Yoshida!

This would be nice to have in the game. I hope they consider it.
Yes please, This would be awesome!
try with an ip scrambler, such as hotspot shield; it will give you an american IP
I really hope they could implement something like this in the future. Mabinogi and Lord of the Rings Online both had amazing systems for playing music on your characters.

That's the kind of mentality that got them into big trouble at launch, hopefully they learned from it and decide to go the extra mile with everything in 2.0.As cool as that would be.... I have to say fat chance. Jobs are coming out in a month and I would highly doubt this will be the case of FFXIV's bard. It would be cool... but SE likes to do things in a simplistic manner, I doubt they are spending that much time on a single job.
LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.
(Marvelous economics IQ test!)
edit - This was said earlier :
LOTRO had something very similar, with single and multiple players.
Terra
Zanarkand
Eye of the Tiger
gonna bump! maybe we get a dev response?
Never mind the fact that Mabinogi has some super entertaining (and interactive) music making. I remember when I first started out on Mabinogi getting to my first town and listening to Micheal Jackson's "Beat it" played in game. I giggled for a good while. It is completely irrelevant to battle content and the like but I feel it would be a blast for random partying in cities with friends, hell when he have our own LShouses or mog houses I would LOVE to be able to hold parties in there, people eaten what the culinarians (is that even a word?) cook, people wearing nice clothes made by weavers and while dining...
LISTENING TO THE MUSIC THE BARDS PLAYS!
This is something I LOVED doing in Mabinogi
Mabinogi's crafting and music creation.
Please if you are gonna give us bard let us play OUR songs when we are killing time.
I never spent so much time on an online game doing something for pure and blissful fun as I did when creating music in Mabinogi.

Let bards join up to play music
It's honestly things like this that make an MMO truly fun. Everyone argues for tougher content, more content etc. but this is something that really puts the player into the the game world.
I have to admit, we're now at the point in the development of the genre and its related technology where musician classes not having access to Music Markup Language is basically just lazy.
I hope desperately Bards either will have at launch, or at some point in their development, the ability to perform actual music. Mabinogi may have been one of the first and best implementations so far, but MML is not the property of Devcat or Nexon. Other games should be able to use it and it's an enormous shame that they don't.
Likely won't work. Nexon have been remarkably draconian - I used to use Hotspot Shield before there was a European version of Mabinogi, and Nexon systematically locked every VPN I could find over time. 'S pretty impressive how thorough they are.
