I used my 2 free fantasias on making z’oemi slightly taller and changing their eye color. Even on my main, the only changes that have stuck are his eye shape and lips. I tried to make him go from male to female au ra but it lasted 2 days before I missed my lizard boy. Flipped flopped between the two for a few months but saw it was a waste of money so I remade the female as an alt. Since then I get the itch to play something new I make an alt. Wastes time but saves me money lol

3 years of minor adjustments later, I can't imagine them looking super different ;w;

By being satisfied with my decisions. The only fantasia I've ever used was the free one I got from subscriber rewards.

I held that in my inventory technically for over 3.5 years. Changed my race to Au'ra after returning to the game, as it fit better with my new take on my character

I’ve been the same since beta. It’s because this is who my character is, and it wouldn’t make sense for him to transform into anything else. I give him new hairstyles, and that’s it. I don’t roleplay, I just feel that’s what makes my character Akashi.

That appears to be the level 70 Astrologian-set, but with the chest-piece replaced with the Coeurl-Talisman (a male only item they got in place of some bikinis the ladies got).

Due to possible editing on the picture, I'm not sure if its dyed in any specific colour - you can make the set dyeable by upgrading it to Eureka though!

To answer the OPs question: I've changed my character once - from a male elezen to my female roegadyn.

I had originally picked the male elezen hoping for them being the race that would potentially get the most long hair options on male characters (sue me, I have a thing for long hair). After two years of playing and no hairstyles that were really to my taste being released, I gave up waiting and changed to the female roegadyn.

...and I just love her. I cant explain why but it would feel very wrong and almost mean towards my character to change her again. I've really created a character appearence here that I like - I dont RP or anything - so I dont know why I would want to change that. To me, my character is perfect - and thats worth a lot more than trying new stuff.

I also have a lalafell-alt that I'm using as mule for furniture and I couldnt even play any of the smaller races - way to weird with the camera when you've always played a tall character.
