It was meant to be more casual than a dungeon but slowly allow you to get free gear that's on par with Sigmascape equipment minus the weekly lockout.
I'm not sure what definition of "casual" is being used here, but it's a comically long grind compared to Sigmascape. You can knock that off in a couple hours and you're done for the week, along with getting significant mendacity and some regular upgrades. A couple hours chaining mobs in Eureka gets you next to nothing, and if your friends outlevel you then you can't even do it with them, so you're stuck solo or trying to find random people for it.

You have to do the NMs anyway to get the good rewards and enough crystals to make it worthwhile, and you don't want to be on the far side of the map of them spawning because you'll never get across it in time. Thus the train.

And yeah, I'd contend mindlessly fighting the same trash mobs for a couple hours is boring. Some other people call it relaxing or whatever. But if all you want is mindlessly spamming a button to grind simplistic fights, iOS has a lot of options that don't cost a subscription.

It is subjective and you do not have the right to define for others.
While you don't find Sigma boring and grinding, I am also one of those who find Sigma weekly grinding painful.
It is not a pleasant experience for me to repeat same sigma 3 and sigma 4 fight just in order to won a RNG competition with 7 other people.
I will also not force you to like Eureka, it is your choice, because it is an optional content.

Sigma is definitely more pleasant if you form a group. Get a full party together and you can get most of them done in two runs each, since you'll have little competition on the second one. If you're just solo in the DF, that probably would get annoying.

Everything aside from the MSQ is optional.

I would probably take your opinion more seriously if you had actually at a minimum completed a relic (recent not from 2015 ).
9 hw relics, 2 ARR relics, 1 FFXI relic, 1 FFXI emp weapon (this is more like ffxiv relics that are more "farming" based but a bit more grindy, I guess the idea would be put ARR relic, HW relic, SB relic, put it all together, it would be like that, being grindy over a large course of expansions but it lasts, like ffxi's relic), then FFXI relic improvements (not last 99 ones) and I still sit here and say 0 SB relics because it is boring and empty area attached to relic farming. I hate the place, there is no danger, it was beta rushed because it was becoming too late in the expansion and couldn't delay it anymore. Was told diadem 3.0 was not going to be like diadem, while being new and something never seen to a game. We did not get that, all we got is a glorified FATE train.

I need to talk to others to get more input on the next statement but getting a ffxi relic, esp when getting the base pre abyssea eclipses a high number of combination achievements in this game. Even if you say get all ARR relics, all HW relics, all SB relics, you be comparing the smallest moon of Jupiter to Jupiter itself. So do not act like people that hate this diadem 3.0 do not know grinds.

The main reason I complain x or y taking too long is because how fast something gets outdated. Would I do a weapon that takes me 4 years to get if it was made useless in 2 years? That is what you imply when you complain about people complaining it takes too long. I did work on a weapon for 4 years because it lasts for 10+ years and with new improvements quests, I can make it current this day (after some grinding ofc) If i played ffxi still I would happily do that, but in diadem's time sink, it is not worth it because it was released out of date, and it will continue to be out of date till about 2 months before 5.0, so you have bis to play with for that small time, then it would be just a glam again.

+1, that is what I mean. This area has too much "start up time" for no gain. Even with FFxi stuff you can chip at it small amounts each day, it may take 3 or 4 years, for a weapon that lasts longer then the complete ffxiv's age for example. So compare that idea to SB, why would I put in boring work for a glam? gear gets outdated too fast, makes no sense.
