I think you haven't missed out. It should be doable any time in 4.x as long as you can fill one spawning party on your data center, for example outside the instance using PF or within the instance by shouting or talking to people. Use a eureka tracker (or pencil and paper) and pop low level FATEs in a round-robin fashion according to their window order.

Also Eureka is just one gear option of several - there is tome gear, sigmascape gear, crafted gear, and raid drops which are all competitive with or better than eureka gear at this point.

I can't just solo level, because that takes hours and hours that I don't have, at least with Savage raids I could schedule a group to run with in the middle of the night, but there's just nothing for this type on content. More and more I feel excluded just because I can't devote my life to the game..
I'm not trying to be rude when I say this.
People who say things similar to this simply do not know how Eureka works.
Before you panic, try and find real information, ask around or google it.

Not to mention; your concern is about content that is designed to take time, something you are poor in, of course you will take longer.
So the natural conclusion is that you need to fit in as much progression as you can in a limited amount of time. Now luckily for you, you can get EXP bombs in the form of NMs (The way everyone else has leveled by the way)

Simply put: You want to spawn an NM, you need to kill its placeholders.
Who are the place holders? Google (And Reddit) to the rescue, thanks to many players testing and figuring it all out~!

Personally I prefer to use the map.

Just kill whatever placeholder monster you can (solo or in a group) until the NM appears, invite the people who inevitably shout for invites and kill it together! BAM! A chunk of Crystals, Lockboxes and an Experience bomb will be your reward! Don't forget to change your element to suit the boss, and don't be afraid to change to Defence if the NM is a bit higher then you are, you'll still get gold if you are in a party.

And this is current and before the next update, where they will bring in Level sync, a new solo content and sync down everyone's elemental wheel with the NMs lvl

^^)/ So don't feel disheartened people. Eureka is a hunt!

That is a big problem with it though, it has very slow start up time, then at the end grinding is a joke, it is the complete reverse what progress is.

For example, lets say it takes someone 9 days, 2 hrs per day to get level 20, then 1 day to farm
What it should be is get max level in 1.5-2 days then farming for the relics 7.5-8 days.

Even though the total time is the same, situation 2 will appeal to more people then situation 1. You shouldn't be presenting players a mountain to start off with (Come to think of it i learned such analogy on the Japanese forum) It is not good to give players a mountain to climb to start off on. I have seen NO GAME be it main (like FFXI leveling) or sub event (side content like it is in ffxiv) that does this. That is why a lot of people are turned off by it, HELL even music has rules like this:

This is a major turn off because you are presenting too much of a grind at the start, you need to introduce a small bit at a time, in all the games I played in everything I seen, this is the first time I seen a problem like this.

I see your point and how it would be good in most settings.
However because Eureka is supposed to be like FFXI, it's kind of fitting to have the level grind (Though its very comparable to other MMOs time wise since its only a few days).

I also keep in mind that like all other relics, this is Stage one only and you'll have to spend lots of time if you want to do 3 or more sets of gear and weapons (personally I am only doing 2 but I know people who want multiples or all of the relic weapons at least)

To me, Eureka's relic 1.0 (including elvling to 19) is the 'small bit' at the start (As you mentioned, small bits at a time). Now we need to wait for the updates for the next bit (iLvL increase, model changes, eLvL increase etc)

They really should have introduced eLvL sync on release though... that was a mistake, I think it would have helped alleviate very casual players confusion.

Does that mean that Square Enix has, in fact, delivered on their promise of revolutionary mmo content then if you've never seen it before???

I got to admit.. you got me there... good job...
Though I would not call it revolutionary, just doing progress backwards.

Nope, as I said ffxi did not do this. Past this I think you really missed my point. No matter what phase or stage you are talking about, you introduce a small amount information and add more as you go on, be it grinds or overall information. Diadem 3.0's system got the progress stages reversed, even if you compare it to anything in FFXI.

Sometimes I can rub my braincells together hard enough for a joke or two.

I think a lot of us are kind of "mmmm whatever" about the overall time commitment involved with Eureka at this point because unless for some reason we die multiple times in a row without a res the whole process won't have to be restarted all over again if we change our main, decide we like the final model of a different weapon better, or are one of those relic hoarding masochists. The initial startup for one anima wasn't too bad back in the day, it was having to do it over and over again that was a drag. There is no benefit to people who only play or want the weapon for one job though I'll admit that.

    Let's correct the title first:

Zodiac/Anima/Eureka Weapons - The Time Sink

It doesn't matter the formula, they are all Time Sinks, even more so pre-nerf.

The one advantage at this point with Anemos is time invested = bigger payouts. Once you hit lvl19 all weapons are easy to upgrade as you are not starting from scratch on each weapon like Zodiac and Anima. Then there is the gear/glam/mount/barding as a secondary bonus.

I was playing at least 1 hr a day since it came out and I just turned lvl 19 yesterday.

Its possible you just have to take it slow and not get disappointed by all the high level players above you.

Hey, they have increased the exp bonus within Eureka, so now less time is required to level up. I hope you can get to lvl20 soon.
