Dragonskin Map and Aquapolis (probably noob) question

I'm not too sure which topic this thread is supposed to be in so apologies if I happened to post in the wrong topic! ><

I also just played this game last year so bear with me if this question is very noob-ish. So anyway I can solo a dragonskin map as RDM no problem but I'm not too confident about soloing Aquapolis if the portal ever spawns. I want to know though, that in the event a portal spawns after I solo a dragonskin map, can I recruit party members during that 10min window when the portal is opened, or must I band together a light party even before I start the treasure hunt?

I tried looking over google but I cant seem to find any answers (and i seem to get ignored alot on my server lmao)

The moment the treasure chest is popped.... (spawned) - the duty is locked.

So to answer your question...no you cannot recruit party members.

This isnt accurate. Ive had LS members call out that they had an aqua portal and throw together quick groups to go inside. Ive joined these groups and been through Aquapolis without helping on the initial chest to spawn it. If i had to guess, id say this is how it works(and i know who i could ask if i were in game to confirm that i have it right): You open map, dig up chest, activate the trap and fight the baddies that come at you, you open the chest, and a portal spawns. At this point, you arent in any sort of fight or duty, so you would no longer be "locked". The portal stays up for 10 mins(you can lose it if you just dont go inside, but why would you?), which gives you a little time to gather some comrades. Then you go inside, clear as many floors as youre able to, and get loots. So hoarding isnt a bad instinct(do many maps!), but not 100% required.

There is no party size or makeup(maybe combat classes only? - never tested this) required to go in. Any combination of 1-8 players will get transported in when the person who spawned the portal interacts with it. There is a level sync inside(level 60 with ilvl 180 if i recall), but 3 or 4 people who work together well shouldnt have any issue.

I'm gonna have to disagree here.
We've (my friends and I) been running some treasure vault trains...and unless SE changed the mechanics...once the chest is spawned...you can't invite anyone...its duty locked...maybe the door opens with a portal..but last time I tried...we where denied...last attempt was someone left the party to get a s rank..only to find out they where denied access when the portal popped trying to come back...granted this was the canal's and not aqua...but id be surprised if this is any different. If they changed it..great....ill have to try anyway - got too many dragonskin maps stashed lol. I'll let you know what i find out.

this sort of mechanic i think is good..because it encourages people to "gamble together" and not cheat the system so to speak..if your not committed....your not getting in. No fast piggy back rides.

once the chest is popped, you're duty locked. BUT after you kill the enemies and spawn the portal, then you can invite friends and go in.
