Add Blue Mages Already

Just give BLU a mace and a rune shield and call it a day. MNK's now have a tank that they can share blunt debuff with and PLD no longer has the monopoly on blocking. Plus it's very symmetrical having two tanks with 2h weapons and two tanks with a 1h and shield set up. They could even push it further and make WAR and DRK more offensive tanks and PLD/BLU more party/support tanks.

They also need to give tanks a cross class skill akin to trick attack. Tired of seeing a nin in every party and would like to see some variety.

But then why not call it an Artificer or Devicer or the like, and go whole hog with its unique take, rather than subsume/pervert a distinct aesthetic?

as nice as Blue mage would be as a tank it will most likely be a DPS with two swords

We'll there's two routes they can go.
A full on Blue Mage like you want, or they can do what they did with Time Mage, bundle it in with another job as additional flavour.

It would predominantly be a magitek job, even called 'Magitek Knight' or something. But it's signature would be absorbing the powers of eikons and reusing them through it's magitek. This allows it a unique weaponskill set bolstered by Blue magic cooldowns.

If they really aren't going to do a real blue mage, then this would be the best way of getting it in there, just like time magic with AST.

Yes a person who has been getting everything about msq and patches right said viera new race,Gun blade tank,dancer healer and blue mage dps
As credible they might be but best to wait till it's set in stone
