    Eureka bosses [Spoilers]

So I'm wondering what Eureka/Val's connection to the void is, we seem to have two important story bosses, Pazuzu and Lamashtu, are they here just to take advantage of the strange elemental storms or is there more to it? Could Val have been taken to the thirteenth shard?
and what was contained by Galuf in the Sharlayan Colony?

    As for the voidsent,

It's difficult to pin down a voidsent's motivations at first; often they're just capitalizing on an opportunity without any real premeditation, and yet sometimes there's an overarching plot in motion. Val was hit with a massive aetherial disturbance (an "Ultima-like" blast which Nabriales did not seize the opportunity to deny was his doing; ...Sabik?) and now the aether there is in chaos to the point of ... well just look at it. For all we know the voidsent came for no other reason than that the chaos made the membrane between our worlds thin enough for them to slip through.

Let's take a look at the bosses:

    Sabotender Corrido
    Powerful cactuar

    Lord of Anemos
    Powerful sea monk

    Teles
Powerful siren (Allegendly not voidsent but I still have suspicions...)

    Emperor of Anemos
    Powerful damselfly

    Callisto
Powerful bear under the control of a parasitic fungus

    Number
Deliberately summoned voidsent familiar, left masterless

    Jahannam
Elemental angry about the aetherial chaos

    Amemet
    Powerful vinegaroon

    Caym
Opportunist voidsent possessing a dead ziz

    Bombadier
    Opportunist voidsent possessing a goobbue

    Serket
    Powerful scorpion

    Julika
    Powerful morbol

    White Rider
    Strong(ish) voidsent, deliberate arrival suggested

    Polyphemus
    Powerful cyclops

    Simurgh's Strider
    Powerful gagana

    Hazmat
    A self-proclaimed void king

    Fafnir
Opportunist voidsent possessing an ancient dragon

    Amarok
    Deepvoid cerberus, deliberate arrival suggested

    Lamashtu
An alleged void-queen, deliberate arrival suggested

    Pazuzu
    "High voidsent", deliberate arrival suggested
    Whew, okay, so...

The higher you go on the voidsent hierarchy, the less likely it is they slipped through by accident and more likely either they were summoned, found a massive breach, or made a massive breach. You never can tell without more information, but even the highest of this batch, (Pazuzu) says...

Defy me not, for I am your lord! I am your god! I am Pazuzu!
I witness this windswept land, and claim it my own.
...which is your typical voidsent malarkey, so we can't guarantee anything special is happening with the voidsent, just yet.

As for the the Dawn Warriors sealed...

I have no idea. I mean, it could have been the masked man, but (and this feels weird to say), the masked man doesn't give off an entirely antagonistic vibe. In fact he seems to have assumptions that we've come seeking the power to banish evil, and at first fears that we are abandoning this natural obligation by not wanting his assistance. I'm not quite sure what to make of that (unless he's just lying). And if the thing that was sealed was so free, why would it stick around and chat with you? Unless it's just projecting itself from the tower, I guess.

    inb4 it's a voidsent...?

Whatever the case, it had to have been long enough ago that they founded Val to contain it, and were able first to have a meeting about doing that around their kind-of-white-auracite-ish-looking container thing in the hinterland colony. (Though if these white auracite theories are true I wonder how it's able to contain energy for so long and it feels kind of cruel the tech existed for so long already but Moenbryda still got ganked over its limitations.)

With so many references to FFV, my initial instinct would be to assume that the mysterious entity sealed within Eureka is ExDeath.

Though since he already showed up within Omega, I think we can safely write that off as highly unlikely. So, I'm inclined to believe that it'll be something unique to FFXIV or they'll combine references and lift something from another game to serve as the mysterious entity sealed away. Perhaps that could be how they justify adding a 'Necron' or a 'Ultimecia'?

Though if it's a combo Dawn Warriors + Mystic Quest reference, don't forget that it could also some take on the "Dark King". S'yahn was hitting me with that one before I'd even logged in, lol. Would also explain the big tower, thematically. Maybe the voidsent wouldn't be so incidental...

While Exdeath may have already appeared in Omega, maybe we should not discount his Ivalicean counterpart Exodus. I find it much more likely Exodus will show in the actual RtI but him having more tree-like features as Exodus could work in the "wilder" Eureka.

Granted, this is mostly me playing devil's advocate, Exodus is still much more likely to appear in the alliance raids (unless they go for his Tactics counterpart, Sel); it could be Enuo or a completely original boss. Fun thing: Lamashtu and Pazuzu were consorts and enemies in mesopotamian mythology (both demons, as well, for what it's worth); that could lead to something, as well?

Actually since ExDeath is already in use and Exodus is much more likelly to appear in Return to Ivalice, i feel like they might use the OG void master from FFV: Enuo!

For those of you not familiar, Enuo was a super powerful warlock in FFV backstory that traded his immortality for total control of the Void but was eventually defeated by the Twelve Sealed Weapons and consumed by the Void. In all the ports starting from the GBA one you could fight him (or a figment of him) in the Sealed Temple as a post-game superboss. I feel like they might go this route seeing as it even gives us a convenient excuse for running around leveling a bunch of powerful weapons.

This actually makes a lot of since maybe that would be a step in improving the relic that final stage is having to have our weapons on and that's the only way to do damage to the boss that being a throw back to the FFV lore

Mr Happy made a vid the other day stating that Omega may have created ExDeath in the I. Rift based on him being in a past game (FFV) or an actual existance in this game's world. Also, it seems to me this island was sent through the void and reappeared sometime later with a voidsent infestation.

I doubt this, since we got Duma (aka Argath) and Rofocales instead of Chaos and Shemhazai (Taurus and Sagittarius). Just from those two, we can safely assume that Sel will be the Libra Lucavi and not Exodus.
Mateus (Pisces) is the only exception because we already have a Leviathan (and that'd raise more eyebrows than Halicarnassus and Acheron if they decided to make Pieces Leviathan).
