I think one of the biggest issues beyond the mind-numbing grind of Eureka is with the rewards. I make this thread in the hopes that the development team will consider changes to the Eureka rewards not just for Anemos, but for other stages of Eureka as well.

Spoils
Originally, one of the things I liked most about Diadem was finding the lockboxes. They were pretty rare, but it was exciting to find out and try to get it despite the danger of the place. If these were re-introduced into Eureka, it would give us some fresh, new reasons to explore, despite the danger. Chests would obviously have to be client-side. If you've ever seen a throng of people at the Anemos Fairy, you'll understand why

I also liked that you could get spoils from them which could be traded for the thing you wanted (minions, mounts) if you got enough spoils. Crafters could get crafting materia and such. Everyone had something they could save up spoils and get.

Even if you ended up with a bunch of mist armor that you didn't like the stats on, you could trade THAT in toward spoils.

I must have 37,000 pairs of Anemos chaps in my armory. I can't desynth them or trade them in or anything. I can only sell them to the shopkeep for 2 gil. They don't help me get any further toward my goal the way spoils did.

I'd like to ask that we get some sort of Eureka token that we can save up toward rare items.

Possible Reward Ideas in place of Fireworks

There's so much that can be done to improve the situation in Eureka. Lots of people have mentioned dailies and things that give the place more meaning other than just killing monsters until you get carpal tunnel syndrome.

Meaningful rewards could be potions that only work in Eureka, that can give us something like a % increase in XP for something like 10 minutes, or that increase our ability to sneak past enemies of a certain level for 30 seconds, or something like that.

For lower-level players, right now on the train to the NM, it's a pattern of sprint-die-res-run-die-res-run. That gets old REALLY quick. If this is not the right way to approach leveling in Eureka, you can't blame the players for creating and following this method on our own, because we didn't get much in the way of guidance from the game.

More of the Things We Love

Also, I think the developers might underestimate the extent to which the players LOVE mounts and minions. Of course, if it takes 6 months to create an outfit of armor, I'd imagine it takes a long time to create and animate mounts and minions too, so I'd understand if this wasn't possible, but I'd still like to offer suggestions.
  • An Amarok/Cerebus minion/mount (slabber optional!)
  • A henbane mount or minion (could you imagine a Roe sitting on top of the flower?)
  • A khor claw mount/minion
  • Beastmaster armor from FFXI
  • The Cuahtli set from FFXI
  • Honestly you could borrow the armor designers from FFXI because every set I've seen is gorgeous.

What would you add to the list?
