    NPC's swimming in residential districts

When they added swimming to the housing districts they added a few little NPC's in the water, probably to show people that they added swimming to the districts.

The thing is, they were neat at the beginning, but unfortunately not in the long run because they kinda ruin screenshots and a bit of the in-game immersion as well since they are swimming day and night 24/7 and have a small loop cycle.

I think that SE should consider removing them now since they have done their purpose, and also because it's a player owned housing district and the players should be the only ones there. (Except for the normal housing/guarding/service related NPC's of course.)

    Any thoughts?

    I don't know,
I like bikini-clad catgirls in my Ul'dahn palacial pool.

Jokes aside, I disagree. I think the swimming NPCs make the districts feel more alive. I think we should keep them.

    Doesn't bother me.
If they weren't swimming, nobody would be.

Honestly I do actually like the NPC's in The Goblet because the layout of the pool works with them, like it does in Camp Bronze Lake.

However, the NPC's in both Mist and Lavender beds doesn't really add much for me. Sure, at first I thought they were nice, but after a while seeing NPC's treading water and/or keep doing the same animation throughout the days and nights just gives me a very unnatural feeling. And it makes them look more weird and off-putting then alive. Plus the Mist and the Lavender Beds bathing areas are very beautiful by themselves and I think it's a bit sad that the NPC's is grabbing the attention from them.

The whole point was to give it the lived-in feel people have been asking for, so I don't think they'll remove them.

That's not what I meant. If someone with their friends (for example) wants to take screenshots from the Mist beach sitting and looking out over the sea at night, it kinda ruins the moment when you have some random NPC looking out of place doing nothing but treading water.

If people think that these NPC's are really that important for the residential districts I could at least wish that they were a little better executed. Like they could go out of the water at night time. Maybe even walk up on the beach to do sunbathing time to time as well. I mean, there isn't a single NPC on the beach except for a lonely little miqo'te waving a palm leaf at players. (In the Mist)

I wouldn't mind a setting in gpose that removes NPCs, though. Could work in a lot of different places.

I love the NPCs roaming about the residential areas. It feels way more lively and that we aren't the only one living there!
    Also good for funny screenshots!

In general I like the NPCs, but I was pretty disappointed when I moved into my Shirogane house and found a babyfaced, half-naked hyur right outside my yard. The NPCs weren't around when Shirogane was first being displayed, and had I known that guy was there I absolutely would have ran for a different plot first. I'm very glad I was able to get a plot at all, but I do feel a little bit mislead.
