Can you include the certificate error message and the certificate information. These are frequently caused by a site's certificate having expired. One known cause for this is Microsoft update not getting the root certificates updated but there are others. That's the first thing I checked and like I said it's random. I can connect to the site without a problem for weeks or days then it will give me that warning. From what I seen chrome thinks the certificate isn't right even though it is and it's only SE websites. Ever other sites works fine no problem. I had this problem too on firefox when I used to use it daily. At this point im going to reinstall windows and hope for the best bc it's not my modem or router.
