So we're a week in (Eureka). What's your progress?

Level 4.

I've given it a chance three times. Sometimes I manage to tag along on a NM, die a lot and get very little reward due to level difference. I'm sure if I tried enough times I'd finally get a lower group and scrape my way to levels where exp difference isn't an issue and I could start to enjoy it, but that just wouldn't be fun and I can't motivate myself to do it.

Rather interesting to see on the thread that most people are either level 1-6 and stuck, or 17-20 and swimming in lockboxes and crystals. No middle ground.

I think I've killed maybe 10 things solo and every other time was with a party. The grind is still ridiculous.

Not so much when you farm fates. The xp gain can be very fast if you do a lot. I had a super productive hour earlier this week in which I gained two levels. Think it was from 7 to 9. Something like that.

Also it's only 20 levels. So of course going from one to the next won't be as fast as the rest of the game. Otherwise we'd all be hitting 20 in mere hours.

Not quite. I've tried to party up. Sadly, most of the parties I find are overleveled compared to me. I don't get mob exp when I'm with those groups - and they're the only ones I can find to take me. I spend most of my time with them trying to avoid the level 17 to 20+ mobs where they want to fight, which is usually NM trains. The experience is horrific - everyone has a mount, or most everyone, while I run behind and pray I don't get in view of a monster that turns around. Whenever I shout for lower leveled parties, I'm met with silence. So my options are pretty limited. I've even tried starting parties within a few levels of myself - not many people tend to join them then bail quickly. So my choices are: stay with a group where I can get exp but risk death and being left behind, soul-sucking solo play, or just not doing it at all.

Honestly? I'd be fine with that. I don't see why there's even a level grind outside of artificial extension of content. At least Palace had you unlocking your abilities as you progressed, but there's no interesting mechanic in the Eureka levelling system. All it does is split the playerbase.

So I'm only level 2, I have no friends to party with, and only 3-4 hours a week to play. Is Eureka even feasible for me to attempt, or should I consider it DoA?

Lv20, 5 relics 2 sets of armor and currently plving friends to 20. Things have honestly gotten easier with spawn information now known.

Boyfriend and I got to 20 today.

We both have pretty much everything from the lockboxes/NMs...except he is missing Strider Boots.

We both have 3 relics and tons of crystals. Bought some AF pieces that we like as well.

Content wasn't like super exciting, but I guess it was sort of fun just playing with my boyfriend and working out to get credit on NMs on our own. Alone...would be super bad, imo you need at least 2 people.

It still was pretty boring camping FATEs. I played my 3DS a lot lately.

Level 9. High level people have been super nice. I ask for invite, get invited, and start to sneak to their location. Usually a knight in shining armor will head out to get me when I get close. My fave is the ride on the 2 mount! Really, they don't need to be messing with my squishy mooching self, but they reach out!!! I would be ashamed, but there's not much else a mid level can do, and I do want the relics. Kudos and hearts to a great community!!!!
