I voted "meh, it's okay" because I don't love it but I also don't hate it. Would I run this again after there's no more reward to be gained from it? Probably not, but that's how most of the content in this game is. If I can't get anything from it, I'd only run it to help a friend out. I think I'm probably in the majority, honestly... So yeah, they will need to expand this content and provide incentives to keep it active for future players, but the same is true of any content in the game, hence why we have roulettes and Wonderous Tails and other 'please do old content so new players aren't stranded' incentives. I guess we'll have to see what they decide to do.

As someone who voted "Meh, it's okay." No, I would not classify that as my liking Eureka. I merely accept it for what it is. Being indifferent towards anything can, often times, be worse. To elaborate further, I like aspects of Eureka and think it has a decent foundation but it ultimately disappoints. If the relic step hadn't been put in there, I'd have never looked at the content more than once.

And this segues into my complaint towards the poll itself. The options are far too broad. We need some options to lean one way without getting lumped into the extremes.

Others have mentioned it, but I'll repeat those thoughts. A poll isn't the end all be all, methodology is important, as is recognizing the limitations of the methodology. So more thought needs to go into looking at a simple online poll to parse our meaningful conclusions. And as was stated, the middle option is very ambiguous and I've already seen it being taken both ways. Ranges on options and even multiple questions on various topics would be a better way to go about it, but even with the 3 options the middle should have been something like "No strong opinion either way" if we were trying to just make some sort of general community feel on the topic. It's also a singular piece of content being parsed and doesn't give a good reference. For example, it would have been interesting to have similar polls for Diadem, PoTD, etc. when they were relevant to draw comparisons against to get a feel for how new content is generally received.

With that said, going with the assumption that the numbers reflect the community within a reasonable margin of error and that the "Meh, it's ok" crowd is more of a "No strong opinion either way", the numbers look bad at Eureka being well received. As of this post the poll stands around 4.2k votes. The numbers of people who either hate it or love it are near identical, while the no strong opinion crowd wins out. It seems like for every 1 person who loves Eureka there is 1 person who hates it. Which means people who say the "hate diadem"-crowd is a vocal minority are wrong. Not everyone hates it either of course. But there seems to be a lot of in between people. Overall I'd say player response to Eureka is not good if the majority of people are in a low-energy opinion on the content. Meanwhile, there is just as many people who detest the content as there are people love it. Again, if the new content has that many people who actively dislike it that is saying something about the content. The bottom line is this content is very divisive and not just on the forums of people actively discussing it.

eeeeeh... its kinda skewed. i dont think people will do it just for rewards AND a massive grind if they did not like certain aspects of it. I am splitting hairs, i know. They need to add things to it to make it more engaging. Its been beaten to death at this point.

This way we will surely have a way better view on the opinions. Because the "Meh" answer can be the second and fourth question and are probably more neutral. We also simply have no option for those that never did it and those that dont even care a bit about this.

@Vstarstruck: Thank you. I do agree with quite a bit of your points, but I also do agree with some other posters that you use a bit too much attacks. Take out the insults and you have quite some good posts left.

Hmmm, I do not see my self as insulting though, but I do admit I am having problems replying to those that are being insulting, without being insulting myself I guess. I do not like being insulted because of my post count, I do not like being insulted because people do not read what I say, I do not like blind defending SE, as that does harm to try improve the game, I/e like it or not, with all the emptiness of 4.1 SB and the delays in releasing this, how is it possible people can't admit there is little to do in this place and does need improvements outside blind white knighting? Someone that routinely takes statement out of context repeats "do not say we have been waiting for it to release, I did not wait for anything" (even though we suffered from lack of content for its development and told by SE on that fact. They still waited, even if they where unaware of the wait, in other words. (This last situation was made by a person who claimed to have blacklist me later)

I been insulted and blacklisted by someone for quoting someone's 2 different quotes, compared them, explained why they are contradicting.. and somehow that is me claiming they are being insulting??????????? and they "never said that" despite me quoting them? Also look at the replies here, when I explained what "meh it is ok i like it " means, they completely ignore what I had to say about that and just jump on my back and attack me. Then the final icing on the cake is being told people that dislike this have no clue what they are talking about.

In the end I do not like the abuse of the posts when I make the best efforts to explain something, while people reply to me from strawmaning mine.

Where would you place:
"I hate it but playing it because my SO/ close friend/ fc is doing it"
"I am doing it so I am not behind, but still hate it" like forcing them self to play

The reason I ask this is people may feel the strongest hate to the content, but clearly does not fit "I have not played it at all"

Even before resorting to insult, there are still some problems with some of your replies. On this very thread, the first post you made is twisted to match your point, without any relevance on how statistics work.
This poll is biased with it's "Meh, it's okay", so the only result we could analyze are the extreme sides. As of right now, the only thing that you could say is that "Among 3000 votes, 30% cleary hates it". Saying that 70% hates because only 28% have clearly said they love it is a fallacy.

But as of everything, it goes both way. If someone claimed here that 70% love it because only 30% hates it, it would have been as wrong.

Fun anecdotal fact, I've witnessed that when schools in my town changed their layout. 30% were against, 20% were for, 50% voted blank, and they changed it anyway because they considered than, since only 30% were against, 70% were for.

@Vstarstruck: I know that both sides where a bit too aggressive and I am not sure if a certain poster just wants to insult. (They kinda told me that I gave wrong informations and when I linked all the stuff they never responded back) So I can see why you are annoyed. The problem is that words like white knighting and stuff like that will not make the situation better. Maybe just leave these out and then your posts are purely about opinions and no attacks and the others have no comments that they can use against you.

My feelings are: I hate it, but I did it to get the rewards, that you can only get there, as fast as possible so that I can leave the content behind. Since a lot of people did the content at the beginning I kinda went there for a lot of hours too to get my rex (and a +2 weapon as a side thing from the crystals) and did not step back in this after that. So nobody can say that I did not try it (was nearly 12). I tried to solo it which was far too boring and long so I took to the fate train, got my rezz achievement and lots of loot. Sadly RNG was horrible to me so I needed quite a bit of runs. I did not like it better than before, I saw more and more problems and I kinda question why it was done that way.

I would not have disliked it that much if Eureka was only some small part of new casual content in SB but this was the only new stuff for casual PVE players and took 17 months so I cant accept it how its right now. Just reading the constructive opinion thread showed me how much better it could have been with a bit more content in it. I dont want it to be a flop and if its somehow still a success then people can point it out and I have to accept that we are really the minority. (And I am fine if people like it.) But that would still not change my opinion about this.

After 17 months and the loss of regular content we got something that is only about killing monster x times to spawn a boss fate and to kill that. That there is nothing more than that (and the wheel) is just kinda sad. Daily quests, more explorations, better quests for relic and Krile and much more..all of this should have been possible but we did not get it. On top of that we kind of had quite some big bugs, with the amount of people in the instance its not fun killing stuff..(laggs, culling and more), and I just fear what will happen to the people when most of us have gone away? It will stay alive longer than Diadem because of the possibility of going into this solo but something that took so long to built should survive longer than a few months.

So in the end I do agree with a lot of your posts and a lot of us already did gave some well thought ideas in other threads. We are not just mindlessly hating stuff. But with so many Eureka threads its probably also difficult to keep up with all of it.

Anyway the poll was posted on reddit first and its seems that quite some people that liked it and kinda chose the Meh option did have quite a few problems with it. So thats why I think this poll should have way more questions.
