    Eureka already declining

    So I have noticed that people are bailing once they get those pazuzu kills and its really empting out the instances pretty fast. Thought a bit late now could be something to look into the future.

    Some kind of lockout, something like a 5-10min after leaving or time is up.

    Spreading things out a bit more like having several bosses carry key components rather than the 1.

    Possibly removing things like crystal/lootboxes from primary bosses, so like pazuzu only dropping feathers while crystals and lootboxes come from the other fates.

    Could use other activities to do in there as well, having its own version of daily/weekly hunts for example could do well there, rewards/achievements.

    Definitely going to need something to keep those instances alive later on for those that are just starting out in eureka, feel like they'll struggle severely if things are kept as is. So curious what other ideas could possible help improve things for eureka and its future?

    Assuming that Eureka scales the spawn requirements and FATE difficulty to the number of players in the instance (as it supposedly does), it might be OK to have smaller Eureka instances.

    Nah, it's literally unfixable. They screwed up big time, and now it's too late to fix.

    The only way they could fix it, is if they make the necessary changes to make parties of 8 viable. As of right now, they are not. Grinding monsters over and over again is NOT a viable way to level - it's just a waste of time. The only reason it's alright to do for the time being, is because of the train doing NM spawns. Once that goes away, and all you're left with is the grind, everyone under level 10 will be officially screwed.

    Now as to why they won't do this - players who got to 20 will complain about how it's "unfair" that they had to go through the grind. They can't risk this backlash. They'd much rather deal with the players complaining about how Eureka now takes too long to do, and settle with it being another dead content in the game.

    The last time I went into an Eureka instance, 90% of the players were level 19. What probably needs to happen (if it's not doing this already) is to break instances into "entered at level 1" , "entered at level 5", "entered at level 13", "entered at level 18" , etc. I'm not sure where the best way to "shard" things off with would be, but it's really unfair to enter an instance at level 4 and there being less than 4 people in the instance under level 5.

    Another reason why they fucked up. The monsters that spawn the level 1 FATE are level 6. LEVEL 6! It's like a slap in the face, telling new players they have to literally grind their way through the first few levels until they're strong enough to spawn their own NMs. And even then, that's once every few hours. Have fun going back to the tedious, pointless grind after that.

    You clearly haven’t played the content, parties of 8 are extremely viable as they let you kill mobs higher then your level and killing mobs while still at a lower level is actually FASTER then the NM train. I tagged along with some lowbies, left their party and once in a while asked how much exp they were getting from the level 13 abraxises in the northern region. The level 7 of the group was getting 495 exp from a 28 chained kill. The tank was level 8 and getting around 450 at that point as well. Without the chain they gained around 200 exp per kill.

    This was with 1 party of 8, everyone attuned correctly, the bard would pull another once one of the abraxises was low, and the healers spamming heals on the tank and cooldowns being used appropriately. After the tank hit 8 I no longer needed to help heal him. (Healing another parties tank doesent steal their exp.)

    What are you talking about man... my groups leveled by chaining mobs that spawned NMs then killing them the first two days. Parties of 8 people is perfectly viable. The NM zerg that goes on now is not necessary.

    They're not doing this (you can see level 1s in the same instance as people shouting for Pazuzu) but they really should. It would almost eliminate the level gap, keeping it manageable. And chances are, even if you somehow managed to power through your level bracket, by the time you got there your 3 hours should be up and you'll have to requeue anyway.
    The downside, of course, is the same reason why they haven't split the leveling roulette into 1-49, 51-59, and 61-70 - you're going to get a much lower average in each instance. Given how things are, however, I'm not sure it'll make that much of a negative impact.

    If the instance scales based on the number of people in there anyway, then smaller instances would be fine. We don't need 144 players. That just leads to technical problems that the team are fully aware of after hunts and Ixion and the like.

    I would much rather have smaller instances where they prioritise stability. But that's a problem that seems to be fixing itself now.
