Correct me if I'm wrong but if a high level is in a group with low level, the high level will not get lockboxes from the fates.
You still get lockboxes from what I saw. I was 17 with like a 7 in the party. Whether you get just xp or boxes is dependent on the FATE ranking you get.
As for the OP, god yes. I'm 18 and my friend just started last night and I couldn't join him. Eureka badly needs a way to have the party either sync to the same level or allow higher members to sync to the level of another party member.
Thinking about it, why not just let us gain exp while in a party regardless of level? It’s not like this is ffxi where when you claim a mob no one else can touch it. It’s stupid that a level 18 outside my party can help kill a monster and I get exp, but if they’re in my party I don’t. Without the competitive element to monster claiming it just seems arbitrary.
If you're not in parties together, you only get a partial xp credit, depending on damage dealt (as far as I can tell). And I don't think it would be good if a level 20 could give full xp to a level 1 for murdering a ton of lower level mobs.Thinking about it, why not just let us gain exp while in a party regardless of level? A level 20 getting XP for a level 1 is better than not being able to play with your friends when you can do so in all the other content in the game, though. This is a MMO, isn't it?

What you are asking for is more complex then what this thread wants:If you're not in parties together, you only get a partial xp credit, depending on damage dealt (as far as I can tell). thats all we are asking for, if SE can do your idea too thats fine but it is likely to be met with "server limitations" best to keep ideas simple. With all the delays I am shocked as heck it was not released with this feature made for a modern game when it was put in a ... 16 year old game? 10 years ago?
dammit, that is why I quit ffxi, those damn geo effects made me ill and made the game literally unplayable to me. funny how I forgot the reason in why I quit when I was basically praising ffxi a lot cuz people kept comparing it to diadem 3.0. I did kept asking myself why didn't I just stay in ffxi all this time and forgot the reason why I quit to begin with.

If it can be done, we probably won't see it till the next step of Eureka. I don't even think we will see their changes they mentioned in the big thread before it slows down and dies, if they still choose to do them. They can't really push these kinds of things to live and expect us to test them; they can't fix anything but the most critical of vulnerabilities in a timely fashion.
This is actually a good idea, would make high level players want to help the low level ones more and hence extend the life of Eureka.
No the place just needs to not penalize based on level. The content is not fun enough to warrant limiting because "power leveling" would ruin the "fun experience" of leveling.
Enemies in there should always give a static value of experience regardless of level. And that experience should be divided among the group equally regardless of level.
How exactly would level sync hurt though? it's a good feature. No the place just needs to not penalize based on level. The content is not fun enough to warrant limiting because "power leveling" would ruin the "fun experience" of leveling.
