Since it is in the relic path and unlike Diadem it doesn't require a DF group I think it will stick around. That being said I think it will be much smaller groups and a much longer grind due to the low numbers.
My bet is it will last the whole of 4.0, come 5.0 much like Diadem was in 3.0 it will then be a ghost town.
Well hopefully the incorporate the next step in Eureka to avoid it being abandoned....
From what I understand, the amount of enemies that you need to kill to spawn a NM and the HP on the NMs depends on the number of people in the instance. Newcomers shouldn't have a problem doing their relics if they start one or two major patches from now. The grind will probably be nerfed by then as well.
If it is fun people will surely continue to do it! Who doesn't want to have fun!
It's not like people are tolerating it for rewards right now........ right?
Right?
[Something clever]
So here's the thing many people are forgetting about Eureka in regards to the Anemos gear... Eureka Anemos is just the first instance in a larger concept that is Eureka. From the way it was described, for the next part of the gear you may not actually be going back into Eureka Anemos, but an entirely different Eureka zone with different mobs and NMs. This means that the Anemos region will slowly die as people move on to the new zone, but they will tweak Anemos and nerf the reqs as that happens.
This means that Eureka, itself, will likely be with us for the whole 4.x series, but it won't be the same exact zone for every set of steps. Remember, they've already teased the tower and a further underlying story around Eureka that they're going to expand on. From the way the map is laid out now it's unlikely they can do that within the confines of the current zone.

And that's my worry, honestly. We're going to have this massive, empty area that everyone has abandoned. So here's the thing many people are forgetting about Eureka in regards to the Anemos gear... Unfortunately yes, and with the first step of this gear tied to it, anyone who isn't doing it now will be SOL, unlike with previous steps that you could eventually go back and work on unsynced. And that problem will follow all of the zones, unless SE can figure out a way to fix that by which the only real way is to make it actually feasible to work on the gear solo which currently isn't an option.

i would think the amount of people that have reached level 20 and acquired full relic and armor is a small percentage of the population.
