The ultra-rare protean crystal! Vs the oodles of anemos crystals.

The only time I've ever had more proteos than anemos was when I'm turning them in. This can't have been intended. Will we see a change to this in the next iteration?

It's because the original "concept" was to have your group stay in one place for ~1h while you grind mobs to then spawn the NM, which would give you ~20-60 protean crystals, and then have the NM pop, giving you ~3-5 anemos crystals.

Because in no way ever would they have foreseen the zerg trains. /s

Lvl 25 mobs give up to 5 Protean per kill you could probably get up to 500 per hour in a lvl 20 party only grinding those mobs killing 1 every 30 sec-

Well, the higher the chain when doing enemies, the better the drops. I thought it was weird too until I realized you could refine Protean from Anemos. But yes, drops for Protean are abysmal especially for low levels.

I'm starting to worry they are going to hotfix and nerf the crap out of the anemos crystals drop rate on NM fates. Guess I better get all my stuff now while I still can in a reasonable amount of time. Lol

I myself quite like Eureka now that I know about the conversion. Its tedious, yes, but I feel most people like it because they can hop on the train, socialize, etc etc etc. If they nerf it it will most likely kill the content because even if you do the whole NM train, its still a laborious amount of grinding

Yep. On days 1-2, we would get positively curb-stomped by most other enemies in the area, so people were grinding certain mobs for hours, and protean crystals fell like rain.

Lesson here is: never underestimate players finding out a way to shortcut something to make it as painless as possible. We'll do it.

I don't think they will nerf the Anemos drop rate. If they nerf anything it will be the Anemos crystal's conversion rate.

Since they made so you could shard anemos to get protean in the first place imho it seems to me that it was intended all along.
Like the system beign up implies that you are going to have an excess of anemos crystals

Protean Crystals are Not rare, you have a better chance if within your level. If your on a NM train yeah very rare. If you solo they vary.

Same level party 5-15 in a skill chain of 30

Solo 5-10 kill chain to 30

NM train main group 0-2 in skill chain of 30 , separated from group 5-10.

Your better of trading higher for lower.
