Oh no I understand completely and it didnt even click with me that some lost DoTs until you both brought it up. But yea its still happening sadly, I dont want jobs losing anything I just think DoT focused jobs should have there DoTs take priority over the jobs that dont, but I know a lot of people will not agree with that.Warrior, Dark Knight, Red Mage, and Machinist don't use DoTs, at least as far as the applied status kind.
Edit: Don't take this comment as me justifying any bit of this issue. Stormblood culled DoTs from classes all over, supposedly because of this very reason. So Dark Knight isn't allowed to have Scourge back because of DoT overload but it's still happening anyway, huh?
There, edited my post for semanticsEither way my point was while some jobs do rely on DoTs for more than DPS, all jobs with DoTs still have a good reason to apply them and denying them their DoTs in favor of those jobs that use DoTs for more than DPS isn't really fair.
Guildmaster of Power With Numbers (PWN) on Coeurl in Aether.
MCH's cooldown is tied to wildfire, which is applied as a debuff on the enemy. It has the same debuff as any other limitaiton and they effectively lose their 23%~ damage CD. It's the sheer amount of players present in the instance that causes this sort of issue, which honestly feels like a lack of foresight when you consider the payouts of NMsWarrior, Dark Knight, Red Mage, and Machinist don't use DoTs, at least as far as the applied status kind.

I thought the limit was in display only...
I liked scourge and was sad to see it go. Happy to see its removal purpose was in vain.Warrior, Dark Knight, Red Mage, and Machinist don't use DoTs, at least as far as the applied status kind.

I remember that WoW had the same problem in 2005 but they fixed that already in 2006..its a bit embarassing that such problems still exist in 2018..no matter in which game.
From what I remember it's both. There's a certain amount displayed but there's also another amount that's applied but hidden. So for example, the boss could hit the max limit to which I think is around 20, but then have another 40 that are there but you can't see. The numbers are just for example, I don't remember the actual amount.
