Anybody have any tips for a PGL in the Moogle fight? Has anyone tried using PGL as an offtank in this fight, such as tanking the MRD or GLD?

DD and kite if you get hate.
I read a thread that might have some tidbits for ya. I don't know if any of the information is applicable since I myself am not a Pugilist. Attached link below to see if anything might assist ya:

good for killing off the gld and mrd (fists of fire as they are weak to magic) but other than that I /sigh when ppl insist on playing pug in moogle when they have other, more suited classes. With the constant moving around of the moogles a pug spends more time running to keep in range and maybe popping off a combo here and there if they can than anything from my observations. The dps of a pug isnt an issue if you can get the moogles to stand still, but really they never do. The constant movement of the targets is what makes arc the best as they dont have to run around constantly to keep in range which also helps avoid aoe.
After doing the fight so many times im more the get in and get out sort of player, same with ifrit. You can only do the fights so many times before you just want to get it over with as fast as you can
@Fiosha: Thanks. I've read that strat before, but it's a strat for a party of PGL DD(or all melee DD) if I understand correctly.
@Micah: Fists of Fire is good for GLD and MRD, and I've been using it. PGL and THM are my only 50 classes, and a LS mate always goes as THM. So I always go as PGL. And yes, I agree that the time spent running around during the fight is ridiculous, but if a moogle is bound or stunned, then my DPS is fantastic.
Another thing to consider is if you are doing 3 archer 1 Pgl and a Thm, you really can't test how much they run. I've seen as archer during this fight, they really don't move much if they have hate on you and you stand still, for the most part. Probably why people do full melee runs. As for why? Because(to me) melee doing combo's is a LOT more fun then archer. I hate archer because I find it so boring.
Not to mention that if you have 2+ arcs in pt and melees, the arcs are bound to ruin the melee's combos if they ever get hate.Another thing to consider is if you are doing 3 archer 1 Pgl and a Thm, you really can't test how much they run. Ahh, I didn't really take notice that the moogle stands still if you do when you have hate. But that makes sense. It's kind of why I mentioned something about using PGL as an offtank.
We've been doing some pgl runs in moogle and it mostly goes well, problem is, with the majority of the community seeing PGL as cripples of some sort, almost no one has decent gear for them and little practice playing. And once you mess up a combo, you're down for about 20 seconds DPS wise, which usually makes you eat Memento with one moogle up.
We even got a win or two, but otherwise it ends up being a wipe pretty fast.
