    I agree. When I brought up this issue with friends of mine, I received "Why don't you just play a female then?" as a response, which to me is absurd. I'm a male, and I like playing masculine characters. There's nothing wrong with males playing females, but it's not something I choose to do, and "Play a female" is a ridiculous answer to the issue.

    I've played both male and female and tend to switch around. But one of the things which I tend to play more as female than male is exactly how often I see males getting the designs with the least effort, or just down-right make you question their irl dress code. I wish they would just make more gear design contests for glam items too, and be much more open to ideas rather than "what fits the game"/"lore-friendly".

    I especially don't want to play a female character, due to IRL circumstances, and I'm sure there are many others who wouldn't even dream of it. That doesn't mean I don't want access to a variety of cute clothes, though.
