I want you to have options as much as the next guy, but those are the exact same patterns, just one is longer and doesn't have the ends rolled up. See Godbert even existing baffles me. The guy runs around most of the time in the nude, if he bothers to wear anything he doesn't even wear pants at all, he wears a dress-esque piece for the Starlight events, and there's an entire questline - yes, a questline where you need to repeatedly apply salamander oil on his body, and then this is revisited in the Hildy quests when you need to do the same for his son. But giving guys pants that don't cover from waist to ankle somehow makes them too uncomfortable to implement.
