Yes we might not know but honestly I hope that we can have at least so much trust in them that they will not manipulate the answers in this. Otherwise can we trust them even in anything anymore? And wouldnt that be a horrible thing for a company?Problem is you would never know if they are manipulating them or not, because you have no way to know unless you do a survey of your own which then needs to be taken by the whole community and this is already unrealistic.
Anyway, no more update threads on the OF for LL, only twitter newsfeed, but they say will provide digests quicker.
Meh if you ask me
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

Yes, would be bad, I should've been more clear about this beign a possible criticism by a part of the community if they don't get what they want, as in picturing a worst case scenario. I mean what stops us from saying that if we don't get what we asked (personal we) from the survey? We won't really have any proof of the results and as you said we'll have to trust them, but enough ppl seems to me that they have no faith in it them anyway, and consider I trust them still but I'm kinda playing devil's advocate here.
@Vhalinor with all due respect but we already had cases of ppl not accepting a negative response from SE with explanations in the past, that's why I'm beign a bit cautious in regards to surveys

We simply wont ever have the 100% safety that they are truthful and that the community will accept it but I dare to say that this would still be the minority of things and if they would be open about it then why should we not trust them? The fear of things happening in the worst possible way can be quite the hindrance.Yes, would be bad, I should've been more clear about this beign a possible criticism by a part of the community if they don't get what they want, as in picturing a worst case scenario. In the end you can play devils advocate to every single arguement but at least for me such a improvement would have more positives than negatives.
And maybe people have not accepted negative comments from SE before because they feel like really cheap excuses.

Wouldn't say it's fear, more about knowing that it can go that way, but you seem to know that it can so I suppose it's fine.We simply wont ever have the 100% safety that they are truthful and that the community will accept it but I dare to say that this would still be the minority of things and if they would be open about it then why should we not trust them? Eitherway it's fine by me
