Are you really want to use the player population size and language distribution?Like I wrote in the other thread, English is one of the major languages all around the world and is probably spoken by a huge amount of people. You learn it even in Japan and on top of that they have staff that should have English as its main language (Koji Fox for example) and thus should be able to talk to us. WoW probably also has it in English because the majority of their playerbase understands it. The majority of the playerbase here in FF14 is not from Japan anymore but from the western countries. So having still no direct english translator in the liveletters or at least have some of the english speaking staff visiting our worlds would help. Or some more posts on this forum.
Technically, Chinese as a language is as major as English and China WoW has biggest WoW population. Did Blizzard devs uses Chinese to communicate? Why would you expect S/E devs do?

I really wish we had a live chat like twitch on a stream or se customer services on permanence on the forums, even if no se employee or staff was permanently available, that doesn't mean that it couldn't be moderated. If I remember correctly, years ago there was somewhat of a gm recruiting campaign, the same thing could be applied here in theory(with a well thought system of course)Now I will admit that I cannot claim that I would be best placed for the spot, or even to make the rules, but that would be a step forward I think.
P.s: A language filter & some later analysis of the chat could be done I think,I mean its not like our posts arn't being checked already correct? Or am I completely off track with this comment? This IMO would allow us to see online & offline & then maybe MAYBE we could have a live chat with the dev in charge of the forums at times.Thats my suggestion, besides that its good to dream & idk what to add,I'm done for tonight.Gn
