The work put into Eureka and seeing the effect it had on the game in 4.0 + does not measure up to the result. I think people are forgetting how much we lost for this no content place.
Not to mention that it's difficult to play Eureka with friends. I primarily communicate with friends via /tells, not via large Linkshells or Free Companies in which I know maybe 10-20% of the other players. Guess what, though? If I log into FFXIV for the night and my friends have already entered Eureka, I can't send them a /tell. And if I can get hold of them, joining their party involves them exiting their current Eureka instance in order to invite me first. And even if they do that, we've got level disparity harming the experience, because SE was obscenely incompetent and failed to include a Level Sync option.

I'll admit, Eureka with a group of friends is fun enough (anything with friends is, really). SE's half-arsed design throws up a lot of barriers to this, though. And playing with random strangers is going to be an increasingly iffy prospect as Eureka ages.

And I wholeheartedly agree with the OP. We need to hear from SE. The longer disappointed players feel ignored, the more acute their disappointment becomes. SE is letting community anger fester, which is about the single worst decision they could make right now.
