How is that? I highly doubt that they put the whole update team on the few bugs that delayed the patch.
That said, I still expect a 1-2 week delay as in almost every precedent patch, which doesn't mean that they are cumulative.

Today is the beginning of the weekend, which means nothing till monday.
The week of the 30th. NOW, Valentines day is Tuesday the 14th, and given the patch history if i am correct, Thursday is a good bet, which means to get it out before Valentines day would be the 9th, needing the final checks to begin on the 6th. That leaves ONLY this coming week for final work on 1.21
If they were only one week away, we'd know by now.
To release on the 16th would give them 2 weeks, but i am uneasy about this likely hood.
I certainly hope so, but i think that the best we can hope for is that they are THREE weeks of work away from completing the patch, which means a release of on or around February 23rd.

Make it happen.

This game is not WoW; if you want WoW, go play WoW. If you get butthurt when people mention Final Fantasy XI, then shut up about WoW.As much as it might hurt you, and as much as someone else brings the balance issues up, FFXI had the jobs right. And, you know, this is a FF, and I don't see you guys complaining about people asking for WoW things. So please.
Also, it's not like this dev team is being true to the roots of the jobs anyway.

If you look at past patches they start releasing tidbits of what we should expect in the upcoming patch a good 3 weeks before its release on the lodestone and between the dead air thats been haunting the lodestone and that tell-you-nothing letter from the producer my hopes at getting my bard soon are being dashed. My guess is its going to be postponed a few weeks.
But really it wouldnt be a true SE release if it wasnt postponed.

To be fair though, once FFXIV was done "production" they pumped out a full week of info for a FFXI update the week prior to the update going live -- so you never know honestly. They always have silent streaks after an update goes live on both ends of the MMO world, doesn't mean something is amiss though lol.If you look at past patches they start releasing tidbits of what we should expect in the upcoming patch a good 3 weeks before its release on the lodestone and between the dead air thats been haunting the lodestone and that tell-you-nothing letter from the producer my hopes at getting my bard soon are being dashed. lol I love you sig Colino.
As far as housing goes.. I had kind of assumed that this was a requirement for the job system to work. How else do you activate/change jobs? I had imagined that you would need to go to your house to switch to a different job.

You use something they call "job stones", this has been mentioned by them several times. Just because you had to go to your house in XI doesn't mean you need to do the same in xiv
Yeah, which I kinda liked doing since it reminds me to check my damn plants and actually take gil out of dev box >.>
