    Dear Developers

Here is actual (More or less) dialogue in your new content patch.

Krile:"So how do you like this new style of battle?"
Warrior of Light: "It's needlessly complicated."
Krile: "Well, I can't disagree. But it is what it is."

If you thought enough players were going to find this system overly complicated and tedious, to the point that you allowed their in-game character to express as much...Why did you include it in the game in the first place?

Because people need to relax and take a joke for what it is.

The developers are people with lives as complicated and emotional as ours is, the amount of disapproval they receive even when purposely implementing things that the player base specifically asked for is depressing.

    In this case:
    -People asking for XI 2.0,
-Asking for elements to mean something,
-For non linear content that isn't a complete faceroll,
-For relic equipment not just weapons,
-For spawnable NMs that reward you,
-For more danger in the world

etc etc etc multiple requests were peppered into Eureka.

    edit: And even then HOW is it complicated. The system literally tells you what the offensive and defensive elements are if you simply target the mob and it takes 2 seconds to switch ^^;;;;

Jokes are funny. Being self-aware that your content is needlessly complicated / boring is not funny. It's sad.

The ffxi style exp (sort of) isn't the needlessly complicated part. The magia board is the needlessly complicated part. And really, the ffxi style leveling doesn't hold a candle to the ARR style fate-grinding so... yeah... Eureka, Fates reborn... with weird, needless elemental crap tacked on.

Dont get me wrong, I have my own criticisms about Eureka, but I also see the careful effort they have put in and disregarding it would make me a complainer rather then a person giving feedback.

I would love to see a structured Dynamis raid as high level/endgame content for Eureka, but right now Eureka is your leveling area brought into a more modern setting (by that i mean, you actually get rewarded and have goals other then just leveling) I hope in the future if they happen to add Dynamis like raids to Eureka they definitely do not lock you out on a weekly basis.

For those of us who played XI, it has the nostalgic feel. Just chilling out on discord talking to people as we grind our 30 chains is a little bit relaxing. However the modern MMO playerbase is a little careless and impatient, deleveling is going to shock some people and I'm sure we will see a rage thread or 3 in the future about it ^^;;;; I do think the EXP loss is too high.

That being said, this is optional content and thankfully the devs had for foresight to reward people no matter what level they are (30 chains + low level NM rewards)

I'm aware. Those are two separate quotes and points.

You can both complain and give feedback. They aren't mutually exclusive.

They better not take take this and toot their own horn about the core game with it, it is the core game’s problems and itemization that is making Eureka difficult to enjoy.

It's just an opinion... People are thinking too deep into it when it isn't that deep. It's like giving feedback to Krile and she responds for SE. As for the response, it didn't imply SE agrees, just that they basically accept the feedback, or would if they monitored that cutscene.

I thought the same thing as the OP when I saw that dialogue.

Honestly, this doesn't really feel all that much like FFXI to me. There's obvious FFXI references in the forms of NMs and their drops, but that's just fluff. The core gameplay throughout Eureka doesn't really strike me as much like FFXI at all. Sure, you're killing stuff in an "open world" format, but that's still a bit oxymoronic considering this isn't actually in the open world because it's still a duty/instance. It feels just as much like "FFXI" as Diadem did to me, and I don't think anyone was ever saying Diadem was like FFXI.

It's honestly because the linear no-RNG-allowed gear progression in this game just flat-out doesn't lend itself to content like this. We can already look at the reward for it and decide if it's crap or not. There's no "chance" of getting some astronomically awesome game-changing drop off of doing this content (the mount is there but it's hardly game-changing, IMO), the rewards are right there and in-your-face, no alterations possible. That basically leaves zero element of excitement amidst the doldrums of mob grind, which was the entire IMPETUS for FFXI gameplay.

Also worth noting that the combat in this game makes mob grinding, frankly, one of the most dull contents you could possibly aim to do. There's no flashy combo elements like in BNS or BDO to hold your attention, but there's no slow deliberation of meaningful CC choices, debuffs, or resource management like in older games (XI, EQ) either. Outside of raiding (maybe dungeons, but idk man), the combat in this game just...isn't fun. It's plodding and basically devoid of reaction or choice. So mob grinding really exacerbates that because you can't make up for those combat shortcomings with say, interesting mechanics like you can in a raid. Like your drunk uncle at a bachelor party, it's all just left...hangin' out.
