Perform is a good thing yes...
    As the glamour contest yes...

But... is what the game needed now? I admit it is fun, interesting, it is some of the side feature that make a game great but...
Where is the content? POTD, now eureka (more spam same spell endlessly yeah)/ Then hunt/treasure hunt (so depth in those, so much to discover and enjoy for so long hours) and the End game, 2x4 boss for 8 people; 4 boss for 24, and 2 primals for 8 people.

people are saying, 2 weeks after a patch "nothing more to do"
Yes not all, but they are not so rare to complain, and i dont speak about 2 month but 2 weeks.

Perform is good, but maybe work first on content, to make people have fun more and more, Than this fun but useless feature.

And for the glamour... a system that is so restrictiv that i quit it, and stay on the previous one... ... ... At least i dont loose my items

A: [...]these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

I've been worried on the direction the game has been taking since HW. But while re-reading some interviews I came across this quote from Yoshi-P and it greatly concerns me.

This can be said for Diadem as well, but when creating content for Final Fantasy XIV, we don’t envision anything we make as “content we want people to continue playing for an exceptionally long time.”

My main concern is in bold. While we may have vastly different definitions of what constitutes an exceptionally long time, considering how quickly a lot of content gets dropped off I don't think Yoshi-P means they design content with a life of more than a couple months if that. A lot of the recent content coming out has been extremely shallow and purely reward driven. Even something that's supposed to be fun and longer lasting like LoV, is just a convoluted mess.

I just don't know if this team has either the resources or creativity to design something that can stand on its own without rewards crammed in it.

depends much on the context of the question. If they meant as in that gear requires years to make like in FFXI or not, it's not correct taking some quotes out of context

Well... the prime candidate here would be PvP, but you can see for yourself how that turned out. It's normally a low hanging fruit as far as long-lasting endgame activities are concerned.

Glamour plates are designed for players with many high level classes who no longer need the stats on most of their combat gear and only keep it for glamming.

Unless you have a lot of armoire items, you're not going to use glamour plates much if you have any classes you intend to play that are still very low level, especially if they share gear with a higher level class.

Add a new Students of Baldesion daily hub. Find more survivors across the island, repower the aetheryte, discover the mystery of what happened to the Island in the first place. Dailies are a minimal form of content to be sure, but it’s still more compelling than what we got! Yet the fact Square still refuses to even look at the reputation system as anything but a vehicle for Beastmen means we missed the mark here.
I understand your thinking about this, but to me then Euraka would be just another beast tribe grind. Develop something original for it, not just another daily hub like the retarded snake people we have now.

I wanted to like this game for so many years, but it hit me recently that its just not changing. I've tried to make posts, start topics, all kinds of stuff to bring up the issues ongoing with the game and it just gets no where.

I miss having fun in MMO, I miss FFXI (the 75 era, not the current version...) and I miss when FFXIV was fun. The system is never changing and its totally stale. My BF and my entire group of friends, FC unsubbed, its done now. I don't think I will ever sub again unless there is a new producer or a huge overhaul of the game again.

I'm with you in my concern about the state of FF14. To use the ever popular Eureka as an example, I was extremely excited for it. I've never been particularly drawn to the insanity that is savage raiding (got over that in my WoW days), so I was eager for what they were touting Eureka to be. I had all sorts of visions about what we would get too. Quest hubs and daily quests. Structured hunts of some variety for notorious monsters. Going out solo, or in a light party, to unearth caverns or temples in mini-instances. Having to solve puzzles a la Bardam's Mettle to get to the end. Even mini-games you could play for points towards your relics or glamour items.

Some, or all, of that was what I had dearly hoped for. Being force fed a never ending zerg fest is a distinct let down. And it's only one example. Underwater zones are another. And what kills me is they surely have to KNOW what games are capable of. WoW is a prime example of options. So is ESO. I get not being able to directly copy things, but c'mon. They could take the general ideas in those games and put their own spin on them!

There are four possibilities for why Eureka got developed the way it did and none of them bode well for the future of the game.

    1). Awful project management
The fact that Eureka feels unfinished stinks to me of the dev team not having a clear vision of what they wanted to accomplish, no long-term roadmap, and spent much of the dev time either faffing about or repeatedly starting from scratch. This is the most likely option since Stormblood in general is floundering about in most departments in a similar fashion.

    2). Engine limitations
Or, the dev team had loads of great and unique ideas that would have made Eureka amazing...but the FF14 engine code is a pile of spaghetti that would shock and awe Chef Boyardee to the point of retching nausea, making it unfeasible or impractical to implement anything other than boring Hunt zerging and mob grinding in a reasonable manner.

3). The dev team genuinely thinks this kind of content is fun
QA is probably too polite to tell them otherwise, assuming there's QA at all beyond finding bugs.

4). The dev team knows this content is dull but doesn't care
This is also pretty likely since in the history of ARR, nobody has praised FATE grinding or Hunts or Diadem Dino Island and it seems they haven't learned from their mistakes yet. Long grinds keep subs, you know? And they can push the envelope of how low some people's standards will go.

Or any combination of the above. It really doesn't bode well.

The system remains needlessly restrictive. We have twenty six jobs yet only ten plates. As someone who rotates through jobs frequently, I simply can't use it on even half. I opted to finally get all the crafting AF gear, but that left me with just two slots for anything else. I would use them for MIN/BTN. Unfortunately, yet another restriction—in the form of requiring you to be in a city-state—makes that cumbersome.

There just isn't a good excuse for limitations like this when nearly every other MMOs offers a better system, including ones several years older than FFXIV.
