    First of all, when people ask for new content, it's usually implied that they mean new battle content. We've gotten very little new types of battle content. Let's look at them.

    Diadem: This was disliked by the majority of the playerbase. At least the gathering wasn't too bad.

    Palace of the Dead: Quite a few people actually like this, but a lot of people don't. Some do it a lot anyway to level (51-60) as it's actually quite rewarding for experience.

    Diadem 2.0: They spent months reworking Diadem and the result was disliked even more than Diadem 1.0. A large part of this is because people don't like FATEs, yet they made Diadem all about FATEs. This is worrying, as it shows that they are severely out of touch. It died extremely fast.

    Eureka: This is a reskinned Diadem 1.0 with an enormous grind tacked on and no gathering. People didn't like it the first time, why would they like it the second time? This is extremely worrying as it shows they learned absolutely nothing.

    And I'm pretty sure that's it for new types of content that they gave us. Diadem, Diadem, Diadem, and Palace of the Dead. Yes, I can see just how much they tried to give us new types of content.

    For what it's worth, the most well-received content they've designed since 3.0 was Aquapolis. It's nothing too in-depth, but for what it is, it's great, and people seemed to like that more than everything else.

    So many people latch onto stuff like Eureka being new. Ok, yeah, it's new. We just want it to be interesting too. It's especially disappointing that YoshiP specifically referenced older MMOs for design inspiration, and the only thing he took from them was exp camps and grinding mobs at them. FFXI had a ton of structured endgame, and it was all ignored. Eureka is just creatively bankrupt like so much else in this game.

    Square-Enix must work on Final Fantasy XVII anyway i think new expensanion could be better solve then putting this Eureka thing

    I am still wondering,how Stormbloog got a "bets expansion award",really,absolutly nothing new,the only new thing were the FPS shooting minigame:

    Trial were a fu*** joke,take 30 min to train and clear,i remember back then,even bismark was a pain because of the insane dps check,but you deserved your weapon.
    Ravana ? the thing with prey,somepeople took week/month to clear it.

    and now ? 13min dungeon,1try clear trial,braindead grind ? they dont even give a fuck anymore... ah yes they do,when on the T rex,you weapon sheath is on your back and dont go trhough the mount,WOAW.

    Honestly if the new relic was not tied to Eureka. I would NOT be doing this content.

    The content is bland and has no real value. My problem with stormblood is that the story is lacking, the content is lacking and they spent double the amount of money on stormblood than HW, yet somehow IMO HW is still the better expansion when it comes to content per patch.

    Eureka the idea was nice, however once again the execution was poorly done and I think they really have to hit the drawing board to address key issues in 4.35

    I have been hoping for harder dungeons , if you go back and run Pharos sirius, Haukke manor hard, copperbell hard and vault all on min I level sync they provide a good challenge and a stepping stone into raid. You run something like doma castle on min i level sync and its still a snooze. Game is getting to easy and this eureka is killing it even further. Hell pharos normal mode is was harder than alt rote savage

    feels like they keep on catering to "new players" or creating content that "anyone can do" which is fine, but it doesn't mean the content doesn't need to have any depth.. i think they fail to realise that players can learn, after spending some time in eureka, you will be used to it within like 4 hours, after that its horrible since you are still doing the same basic stuff... same with dungeons.. instead of making all of them a cake walk cause "new players" have these new players challenged abit it could be a fun experience like this too

    to SE, FFXIV has already peaked, so please stop catering to new players all the time, just develop content catered to your current loyal players. its good that you have been trying to be experimental, but its needs to be more experimental, all the content is way too safe, while yoshida has done great things for the game, it wouldn't be bad too get other SE devs in here to shake up the content.

    imo potd was ok. just a bit bland in the floor design. and then it got to the point where it was literally unlock the portal and go to the next floor. ignoring everything else.

    the accursed horde for example didn't succeed that much because it gaves players to much of it. you could get 3 or 4 sacks per 10 floors and that then destroyed the value of any rewards as markets ended up flooded.. which then ultimately meant players totally ignored the sacks and just got to the next floor as quick as possible...

    I think if they'd made those sacks much rarer there value would have lasted much longer and players would be more inclined to pursue them. but when a sack gives you something you might get 1500 gil for it's not even worth the extra 20 seconds to go and get.

    it would have been nice if they rewarded the exploration more and made the floors bigger. maybe even secret shortcuts that allow you to skip a floor or 2. move from like 44 to 47 or something... give you a reason to explore after unlocking the portal. you could go to 45 normally or discover that shortcut...
    maybe extra bosses that guaranteed aetherpool points if defeated. think most people know how frustrating it can be clearing 30-40 floors and either seeing no blue chests or watching them all be traps....
