The original relic involved gil in the form of the crafted item and materia melding. Anima was in buying the items to desynth or buying the crafted turn-ins. Beyond this, everything else was available through grinding and time.I actually like this version of relic. The others always involved tons of Gil if I recall and since I'm not a crafter, I could never afford keeping up with it. With this, all I have to do is invest time into it and I'll get what I want. I'm also having lots of fun, I mean, killing mobs is what we do in dungeons, raids and fates. Some are easy, some are hard, but killing mobs is the name of the game. I'd rather be killing mobs than crafting or gathering that's for sure.
