Are people really so anti social that they rather take penalty than ask for help? The death penalty is not the issue, I seriously don't know how people keep being ko'd it's not that hard. Mobs have a very short agro field of vision, you can literately stand behind them and as long as they don't turn around your in the clear. The only exception would be elemental sprites who have a wider radius if your level is too low or use magic near them. IF anything what people should really worry about is those other players that bring in the extra mobs from the sides and don't care about their surroundings.

As for older relic...Really? has it not been nerfed enough? Come on put a little hard work into it.

And here we have enough examples of elitism only in the first page.

Tbh none of the relic grinds were fun and they didn't become convient till they got nerfed in the far future. Im not a savage player b/c I'm not fortunate to have an organized staple group. So that part of of Yosh P's content is like
Donald Trump's wall to me it might aswell not exist to my knowledge. So my only way to strive for better gear is to play along with endless grinding. Yeah it sucks but its content I'm able to do. I just reached level 20 in there and I feel like a Demi God to most of the monsters so farming crystals won't be so bad as we started out trying to level up

The problem is not a single mob's field of vision. It's a whole group of them. Unlike the overworlds in game proper where the mobs are given a wide berth apart from one another, Eureka Anemos have mobs closely knitted in groups that looks at all sorts of directions, with irregular openings in between. Sometimes there are even mobs that appears side-by-side, looking at the only way in and out of the area like a watchdog. And then there's the turning moment. Predictable turn or no, not everyone can memorize when they would turn around. As it stands, it's is simply difficult to sneak in anywhere in Eureka Anemos.

And when you are part of the NM fate train that are marching like ants, you have to keep going lest you'll be left behind from the next NM spawn, so stealthiness was sacrificed for continuous movement and in turn, safety in numbers. This leads to a march so conspicuous that someone will inevitably be seen by a mob and end up being chased, sometime causing accidental griefing when the train arrived at its destination. And finally, when you pull a mob that is 4 elemental levels higher than you or more, you will be instagibbed (read:killed in one hit) for ridiculous damage.

When I join a NM train there are two things I always keep in mind and most veteran players do as well, first your surrounding.. If in Eureka it agros avoid, Second don't expect just because your in a train people will raise you if you die. Yes it's a nice alternative to by pass mobs, but why be a sacrifice? I mainly BLM just to sleep mobs when anyone gets agro just to help out. Now depending on the NM train they may split on 2 sections, low levels spawn lower tier do to the fact that they can manage while higher go to more dangerous areas. They stay close so that lower ones have time top reach higher and so on. As a lower level IF your joining a NM train should be aware that is best to stay around the middle of the train for safety being some high level can still get agro. Unless they are pretty much acting as raise bots and healer spamming they should not be in higher tier do to lack of damage they can contribute, instead they would just hinder. Even so they should stay as far away from danger as possible. Not to discourage anyone by all means it's just a tip that makes runs smooth as possible. As for sneaking around in Eureka, not really I think that it's more of fear and timing sometimes you just got to go into it and trust your instincts. I mentor a few people and found out that was the main reason for their ko's. takes practice and yes it can be done.

if we could still not retreive materia trading in one piece of gear for another class and losing melds would be fine by me, but now that we can get it back that wouldn't be a good idea anymore. there would have to be some other penalty for trading in gear, like reverting it back to the +2 state.

Death and the penalty associated with it make the entire exercise exhilarating. I would not like to see this feature removed.

Personally I enjoy it thou it lacks a grind and is too easy for what I enjoy and I’ll say this... just because u buy a game does not mean u deserve all its rewards put the time in.

Whilst I do appreciate the nostalgia from FFXI days I find with Eureka it wasn't executed too well and is punishing for newer people who take part in it.

If you're too high level you don't get any benefit from helping lower level people, so newer players to Eureka are struggling to find others to level up with and it's insanely grindy. Higher level FATE trains are swamping all the FATEs including the lower level ones, so lower level players can't even reach them before they're gone and don't get much out of it when the trains are doing most of the damage. The rewards aren't much cop either - weak gear in comparison to the gear you can get from tomes which are more easier and faster to obtain.
