There's a group of people so blindly loyal to SE they still try to defend things like Diadem and 1.0, both of which failed very hard. Everything about Eureka is following the same pattern for Diadem 1 and 2 that its getting a little sad at this point.
This is a bit of the problem though, it a long grind to make another grind more efficient. On top of that the leveling really doesn't do anything interesting. Its not like we level up and get new abilities or traits for Eureka, we just get stronger to fight higher level mobs and grind more efficiently. So effectively we hit max level in the game to go do content to make us re-level so we can grind a little quicker.
There's nothing else to do this patch that's new, though. This is the only real new content. And people were getting bored waiting for it, now we have to wait even longer for something to do?
Given the exp curve (it doubled from five to six) I kind of wonder if anyone will get 20 within a month. Or that it might even take a month to get a level then.Plus, remember that once you're e-lvl 20, you're e-lvl 20 on all your jobs, and we've already been told that lvl 20+ monsters drop more crystals than those below it..

I am much more curious at the drop rate once e-lvl reaches 20 and working with 20+ mobs. If it's the same or will overpowering 1hKO genocide on lower level mobs yield better results.
You don't get a chain if the mobs are below your level solo, I'm sure it's the same with parties.
They totally should have, as it would make the train pulls that much quicker
I first noticed this in 2.2 and actually told some of my FC members "I certainly hope they don't do this again". 2.3 confirmed the raid/catch up cycle, and 2.4 confirmed what I'd feared. Thankfully people are finally speaking out about it heavily.
Sadly, its going to take a lot more than speaking out for them to do anything. It'll probably take a mass sudden exodus of players for them to even address it, and by then it'll probably be too late.
It's not a "loyalty" or "naive" thing... It's just that : I like Diadem, not because of the content itself, which is boring and braindead, but because of the atmosphere of it. The people doing it, that think "yeah, sure, that's bad... But at least, let's make it fun by being chill". But I guess it's more fun for you to do a scandal and harm that cheerful atmosphere... Sure, you don't like it, that's fair, but don't call people out for liking it, that's... respect, I guess.
Yeah, well... actually, it's kind of a good thing from a certain point of view... I mean, it enables you to efficiently get stuff for your alt jobs... Sure, you need to do 60-100 hours of grinding, maybe more, to get to level 20... but if, after that, you need 10 hours for a whole set of AF2 Anemos, that's still quicker than doing another relic in HW. So... it's actually a pretty good idea, if you expect your players to get stuff for all their classes. And before you go all "you're blindly loyal", that's just what I think is their way of thinking. I don't find it that good of an idea, but hey, I never said either that Eureka was actually good. So I don't really know why I'm asking you to take a step back and think about what I say...This is a bit of the problem though, it a long grind to make another grind more efficient.
The problem is not the time the grind requires, it is the boring nature of the grind itself. The people working on this game are where they are because they make these situations fun for a living, and are good doing that. For the vast majority of the playerbase, this is not fun. It is Staying Awake (Savage). It is being trashed, and rightly so, because this is not what you expect when a team of talented people is given over a year and a half to create something fun.
No one likes getting upset at the people behind the game they love, but it needs to happen for a change to be made.
