    Level sync for friends?

Hi ^_^ hoping this finds everyone well and everyone is having fun.

My request is some kind of level sync feature be placed in so that my friends and I can all sync to the lowest member of the party please. I would like to play with all my friends without worry of outleveling some of my other friends too badly.

I would also welcome any ideas of how to deal with playing with some friends without worry of outleveling others also! Thank you guys!

From what I gather, XI had this and I'm honestly not sure why XIV doesn't.

Would be nice for helping friends level up if you can't or don't want to pick up another job just to be on the same level as them.

Not tested myself but as I understood it your elemental level and stuff in eureka transferred across jobs. If your a level 10 dps your a level 10 healer. And a level 10 tank.

Thinks that why a lot of the shouts for people looking for group are any role...

What's wrong if you're over-leveled to your friends? There isn't penalty from what I've seen when in teams with higher levels. You do get less EXP the more people that are in your party (To encourage you to fight higher level mobs as a bigger team). But it doesn't matter if the people in your party are higher level or not I think, the penalty is the same for all cases.

Well mostly it's that it's a waste of time.

Like yesterday I was in a party with friends who were 1-3 while I was 5. Because we had a level 1, we went after lvl 3-4 monsters first.
Thing is, attacking lower level monsters = no chain. So while some of them (level 1 and 2) were getting chains, a level 5 like me gets no chain. So it's little experience, no crystals. I was lucky that a NM spawned, because that actually does give something and it leveled our lowest person faster.

I didn't mind it because I knew he'd catch up eventually and once he got a second magicite we'd go a bit higher, but that's when I was only initially 4 levels higher.

If I could still get some crystals and little to no exp helping lower level people, that'd be nice.

If I were level 17 and a friend/FC mate was just starting out at level 1, that'd be a whole lotta hours of no rewards helping them.

Fight monsters the same level as you are as if you were soloing. And bring along your low level friends to make them level up much faster. You will get a chain, but you will get much lower EXP because you have people in your party. I sometimes kill monsters 1-2 levels higher than me as I'm a Paladin when I'm playing with weaker friends since they can solo much better. It just depends if I can keep up chain or not.

Yes it's slow, yes it gives me bad EXP. But it's still not a complete waste like no chain mobs. And I get to play with friends and hang out with them and chat with them.

The only glitch with that is when your higher level friends drag you to an area way above your level, and because the party isn't big enough to more or less insta nuke them you keep getting your butt handed to you. That happened to me last night. Well intended FC mates invited me along, but we were playing whack-a-mole on lvl 9 things while I was lvl 3. It was relatively late so there weren't a lot of other folks around, and because I'm still unfamiliar with Eureka mobs I promptly died 3 times in the space of 2 minutes. Very frustrating lol.

I wholeheartedly agree with this suggestion. Today was trying to grind a bit with friends. Our levels were 4, 6, 7, 12, 12, 12, and 13. There was nothing we could kill that we could all benefit from. Anything lower leveled didn't give any of us experience, and higher level things only gave the higher level players experience. I also hate doing the NM zerg train because it's just a very inefficient use of limited amount of time - particularly when you're low leveled and get a significantly reduced amount of EXP from the NM fates anyway!

Today, my L 11 joined a nm train that were all L 12-16 and most attuned to the L 13 aetheryte. They bailed up there and left me a a few others to run through that canyon river where it's pretty much certain death if you go it without your group. I died, no rez and am now L 10. They continued to do this and I couldn't go when they went up there so got booted which is fine. I can see this as the biggest issue. Now I have to wait 2 hrs for another instance. If this continues, I won't be going back.
