You can assign macro commands to rotate the magia wheel. /magiaright and/magialeft. I have these assigned to my cross hotbars, this information was in the patch notes.

I can understand not wanting the large menu from controller, but you can still display both cross hotbars and regular hotbars with controller layout. Granted you can't use abilities from the hotbars on controller but you can display them to track CD timers for things that aren't on your main cross hotbar.Probably couldn't tell because a PC player using a controller might still have the mouse-layout (which shows left/right click, not buttons).
I had to tell it to switch to console layout to figure it out (and then I switched back because I don't want them gigantic menus when I click for my menu, and using Mouse layout allows us to have both cross hotbars and hotbars displayed together)

How?I can understand not wanting the large menu from controller, but you can still display both cross hotbars and regular hotbars with controller layout. I'm legitimately asking. Every time I switch to "controller" mode, all my non-cross hotbars disappear and won't ever come back up. Not via hud, not via macros, nothing. Only time they both show up for me is when I'm in mouse mode, so I play controller in mouse mode (though the menu thing is also a big reason.).

Main Menu > Character Configuration > Hotbar Settings > Display Tab and check any hotbars you want to display. Once displayed you can use the mouse or virtual mouse to drag and drop whatever you want onto them. You can then move and change the shape of them in HUD layout just like keyboard mode.

Eureka missed the mark.
6 months in development, and pushed back 2 whole patch cycles, and this is what we get? Get your act together! Have you learned nothing devs?
You have to make content that is fun and engaging. It also has to be meaningful. You can't make a zone, and populate it with monsters and let that be all there is. Use your heads. There are a great many different things you could have done here, and all of it fell incredibly short. You have a lot of things already in place in the game, and you easily could have used any number of things and made Eureka better.
For example, Treasure maps specific to Eureka, Daily and weekly quests. Monster hunt bounties. Fate hunt bounties. Timed quests every hour. Special mini-dungeouns. The list goes on.
Point is, this is bare bones content. Its the most basic of content anyone could come up with, and the fact that relic weapons and armor are locked to this specifically makes it even worse. You have to que into this to get any progress, and literally stop doing everything else in the game.
Anyrate, this is the last straw. I'm un-subbing. I've played this game for close to 5 years, and I'm tired of the same song and dance routine. I was hoping eureka was gonna be the new thing to spice up the game, but all I got was FF11 in my FF14. Make better content, or you WILL lose more people like me. Good luck, and godspeed.

Eureka wouldn't be as bad if there was more to do, but right now, the only thing is just party up to kill mobs for hours at a time. There's not much else to do. FATEs are the only thing worth anything there.

Eureka caused me to uninstall the game for the first time since ARR Phase 3 beta. If this is the best they can offer after promising so much and using it as an excuse for a lack of content in SB, then this game is done. It already was dying, this is the nail in the coffin.

I find this thread hysterical. For one sheer fact, almost everything in this game is mindless. Doing dungeons? Lets go in and mindlessly mass pull groups. Raids? Lets go in and memorize a dance then mindlessly kill the mob (NM). Fate grinding? Mindlessly killing mobs. Gathering? Mindlessly whacking a node. Crafting is one thing that adds an element of a challenge.
My understanding of Eureka is it is essentially FFXI with Valkurm Dunes.

I don't feel like it would be appropriate to start another thread just for my personal feedback so here it is.
Magicite
I love the Elemental System. I wish that it was a little more than putting all 5 magicite into one element. but then again it feels nice the way it is. I would like it more if mobs are dual elements. So that there was even more interesting choices with how you use the magicite wheel. But overall i love it.

Playing with Others
My experience with others has mostly been positive. I've actually come to recognize a handful of players across instanced and am excited to see them again. Its very community oriented. I love that. I seeing people I farmed relics with again when I come back to farm relics in a new a group the next day.
However I wanted to play with my level 1 friends who are new to Eureka. Me, being level 20, has no way of helping my friend gain experience besides doing what we did in 11. Play white mage and spam cure on them while they fight things. Its nice i can ferry them around to fates but I want to actually be able to help my friends play and get xp. (I almost wanted the level sync option from 11 just so I could play with my friends who were behind me in levels/xp)
